I was hasitating to watch this drama because of concubine thing. But now I'm starting to like it!! This is what dark drama is and what dark drama should have. The schemes, plotting, tension between the leads is top tier and thrilling. This is truly not for those romancy-lovey dovey people cuz this is a literal dark romance, where their love blooms in the midst of plotting against each other, lol. But yeah this is my kind of dark romance as a booktok girlie who read lots of dark romance books (this is just actually mild compare to what I've previously read dark romance before). This is really really good, why people have something to complain when it's literally it's genre being dark.
They said this is really good. And from the spoiler online this really looks good. But I'm hasitating to start this drama as they said that the ML have multiple wives. And I'm not into that kind of trope(harem) especially when the fl have to fight and protect herself against the other wives. That simply annoy me and ruined the romance in my view.
Should I watch this drama as someone who isn't a fan of harem? Will I not be bothered by the other wives? Is the ml favor other wife than the fl? Or can I enjoy this drama without being bothered by the harem? (like new life begins, that's the only drama I watched where the ml has other wives but he's wiped to his love of his life)
I hope they will change the plot where nan heng have to cheat with yimeng with her sister and marry her. Will definitely drop this drama if they still go with that script. I hate cheating male lead or Male lead having multiple wives

I thought when she go back to past and help herself, everything would change and shian can finally be alive as well as Bai jiu si. Or they can just make him saved and appear infront of her. I just felt bad for hua ruyue, she really suffered the most and carry pains, burden and anger for a long time. She lost so many people in the past and now in the present. Her sect was almost wiped out and many had died. Her son died in her arms and now they made jiu si die in her arms as well?! They didn't give this character a break from pain and longing, till the end she's the one who needs to be the strongest and fight for everyone. She actually deserves a satisfying happy ending:((
Xjs as the main villain was kind of unnecessary yes the heaven was ruthless to him, but why he have to involve many people and target ruyue and jiu si the most? What's the main connection? They aren't the people who cause his misery lol. Don't get me wrong yeah that's the plot, that's the director and writer's plan. And I love this drama, I love the angst of love misunderstanding between the two and they could have focus to that arc without unnecessary killings(I'm mad that they killed a lot of people). It feels rushed and not enough, lol. But that's how xianxia work. And still thanks to xjs, he's the reason why the two reconciled and ruyue set aside her anger(-_-)
So, that's why ruyue wears red while going to start a war cuz that's their plan together, a stage wedding, lol. It now seems like she likes the plan of them getting married again😜
They suit each other, two different type of craziness. The more she did crazy things the more he fell. The more she avoid him and go with the original story, the more it backfires to her and brought him back to her, lol.
