I know, lol. From the very start i know that the main plot is their love story, that's why I'm watching this drama. It was just my theory, cuz they obviously show that the young king is incapable of ruling and is not interested being a king, while they also show that i-an is capable

They describe the character of i-an as a grand prince, a spare who's good for nothing than having his royal title. But, watching it seems like he's not just a good for nothing prince, he's the regent and basically he's a king as the real king is too young to rule, the monarchy will not even stand if he's not there cuz the queen mother isn't in her right senses. He's much cooler than he was described before this drama was released, lol.

Also, I thought the queen mother will be the regent cuz she's the mom of the king and the late king's wife, like any other historical drama(especially cdrama) but they made i-an the regent, which suits him mosttt

I just don't expect that it will be all about ji ling, his misery, his loneliness and his love story by the near end. I love ji ling but so many characters was cast aside especially the main ones after they got out of the illusion

The ending was good as it shows the two couple being reunited. But by the near end few episodes were focused to one story. I love both the couple, but it makes me sad that they gave such a small screen time to the love story of wwy and wsg, when their story is also interesting

I expected more... Such an interesting start but it focuses on one character by the end. This drama could've done better as the story have so much potential

I have a two theory for the ending, it's either the young king will step down and let his uncle rule the country or the monarchy will abolish because of the messy politics inside the palace

I need a special episode for wu wangyan and wu shi guang:(

It's not, lol. They introduce 4 main leads, advertise 4 main leads, so it's not just ji ling and lu wuyi. And Joseph zheng isn't someone who's for second lead

I was wondering why the story focuses more on ji ling by the end, cuz i thought this story will surround on how wu shi guang discover himself about being the 10th dragon. Zheng shunxi is a known actor and far more establish(as he already has so much main roles) than tan jia ru who's still a newbie, but zhen shunxi have less more screen time here that's why I'm wondering how zhen shunxi accepted this project. I love tan jia ru but the story have more potential than focusing on his character here

So what's happening right now is far from the plot of the novel they transmigrated to? The supposedly fl of the novel died, the villains of the novel didn't become trashy characters but the ML did become one. Plus the supposedly love story between yong er and duan didn't even happen

Is Prince duan the real ML of the novel? He's evil than the "real" villain, dan is a tyrant but only when he's triggered and he's being reasonable. While the so-called male lead is doing much dirty and immoral work (impregnating yonger, harming wanyin, plotting evil plams etc) he's such a terrible male lead who literally doesn't love his fl, I'll probably one of the hater of the novel if I'll ever read it lol. Cuz, how come the evil character is much softer and emphatic than the main one.

Does he really hate his son? I mean that's understandable since he is forced and 🍇 just to have him plus he's the empress dowager's favorite. But for anyone who already read/watched the other versions, will he have a good relationship with his son later on?

And now they did the deed, will him and the female lead have a child?

No romance drama of him this year? Not really a fan of slice drama, so 2026 will be no Zhang wanyi to watch and await:((

This doesn't have any hope for a happy ending, I'm not even hoping to have one. The ML's character is not someone should be forgiven, redemption arc is not for someone like him. He should be put behind bars or in mental institution as he literally needs professional help not love, lol. I don't know how the FL will end up loving him after what all he did, cuz the only right thing the writer should do to save the last sanity of this drama is to make it a sad ending or make all the characters d-ad. This drama is just 'that' doomed.

How could someone who murdered and did a lot of horrible be release from prison aftef just 9 years?

I really love this kind of plot a "modern royalty love story" like king 2 hearts, Princess hours and eternal monarch are my favs. Korean drama rarely produce this kind of setting, when it actually have so much potential especially when improving the storyline. So, I'm looking forward to this and the remarried empress

What I really hated is how they made the emperor's life so miserable from childhood till his death. Everyone in his life doubted, hated and betrayed him, and the author just gives him a sad ending? That character deserves so much better FS
