As a student currently going through student led anti corruption protests and facing so much police brutality, this hits close to home in a way no drama ever did or ever will, such a wonderfully crafted storyline in literally every aspect
maybe its just me, but realistically I don't see how Trin’s character would fall in love with Tanwa. They don't…
i think Trin needed someone out of his comfort zone that made him feel comfortable, like in that one scene where Tanwa addressed that Trin finally doesn't look stressed out.
Also we haven't really seen Tanwas inner life that much, we know he has had a difficult childhood and has problems with his father and that he comes from a very established political background involved in what then was the current ruling party of Thailand, i also dont think he's as empty headed as he presents himself to be, just by living his hippie lifestyle he opposes norms that were put on him by his father and society, hippies are normaly left leaning and were quite engaged in the political situations in the 1970s especially protesting against wars and oppressive goverment, in their own way but they were protesting, so the "empty headed" facade that he has was both influenced by hippie yolo lifestyle as well as him trying to protect himself from what he finds traumatic.
Also i do think when you're very politically involved to the point where it's your studies and profession, very often you want to escape it in your private life, politics wears you down very quickly if it's the central part of every aspect of your life, so that's why i think Tanwa who allows Trin to escape that even for just moments is better love interest than Victor, he already had his Victor in France which ended tragically, that's why he's always stressed out by Victor and the students bc he doesn't want them to suffer the same fate
if i could give this a 20 out of 10 i would, as a sociology student i love to see a nice well presented political storyline in a show that isn't centered just on that, like WOW EVERYTHING IS SO WELL DONE
i literally keep screaming "break up" every time the fl is on screen, i get that she is unhappy and fell out of love but why are we dragging this on, like you found a whole other man that you vibe with, and you still can't be stern about breaking up with your current bf, like girl please, this is going on for way too long Like it would all be fine if this will i won't i break up ended on like ep 4, but episode 7 and we are still here, emotionally cheating and pulling anorher man into the mess even though he tried to keep his distance, if this goes on for any longer i will lose it
