no wonder no one has answered you, it hasnt even started to air. dramas often deviate from the novel. how would anyone know how it ends?? theres many answers to the novel ending but no one knows how the drama will end until it airs.

couldve given more skinship and screentime to the leads together. waste of a stunning cast. there was a lot of scenes of just talking a whole lot of nothing. the conversations went no where and the last few episodes became a guessing game. im assuming a lot of scenes got cut so you had to end up just guessing what happened.

for sure. esp nany rong. she was supposed to be an over the top character to drive the first few eps. also you can tell when Zhou Ye is overreacting.. its to show the audience that her character is faking/ being insincere. this is so that its quite obvious to distinguish her real emotions vs the act she is putting on in front of her family (and Yan Rui in the beginning). anyways yep.. prob intentional

ngl despite what people say POJ really is that good. i went in blind basically after seeing on tiktok about it and was not swayed by online opinions, and it really just blew me away. people only dog on it becuase of how insanely popular it got. everything about it was perfect especially that first half of normal life before political conflict/wars that we hardly see in dramas anymore!! also another thing i hardly see anymore are dramas that have a full arc of characters that are not in high positions but still charming and powerful. i cant remember the last drama i watched that didnt dive straight into political conflict or shows commoners living in non-extravagant residences. all these lords, madams, generals... just bring me back to lin'an!!
