didnt mean much by "kid", thats just common slang where im from, but i see i struck a nerve there, so i apologize for that. you do u literally means "do you what you think is best" so thats by definition not assuming anything about you, cus all anyone can do is what they think is best with what they know and experience. between the two of us, you say that said im a coward because of one opinion i have, but i never said anything about u as a person for your opinion. there are good points in what you said about general life, but that has nothin to do with what im saying bout the potential issues of a sociopath, compared to issues of a “coward”. seeing as youre reacting so strongly to something that isnt even my point, this convo is way too distorted. lets leave it at agreeing to disagree

yes you sister sounds like a wonderful person. my comment is about the general tendencies of someone diagnosed with sociopathy. sociopathy itself does not mean your are terrible person, after all, one quality does not make or break a person, as much as people wanna act like it does.

i clearly was talking bout the capabilities of someone with such a condition, which can be severely destructive to those around if left undiagnosed and without therapeutic intervention. never did i say they are horrible, terrible people who cant be helped. i guess i like saeroyis character the most, since u wanna make assumptions on what character i love lmao. i just defend soo ah cus i feel like shes overly demonzied, but u know, you do u kid
i know yi seo has issues, but at least she's not a coward *cough cough
lmao put a sociopath and coward in your life and see who's issues affect you more, yall idolizing yiseo cus she got tunnel vision love for saeroyi and forget the bad shit shes capable of, you know, like the way she treats geun soo like a welcome mat
are you sure she's trying to keep her job? isn't she the one who can't wait for seayori to "unemployed" her?
this argument really aint that serious. saeroyi literally replies to soo ah "i have a building you know" and they laugh, its not like a deadly serious statement whenever the "i like rich people" thing is brought up. neither girl is seriously saying "without this, you are not the guy for me"
are you sure she's trying to keep her job? isn't she the one who can't wait for seayori to "unemployed" her?
she says "weren't you supposed to make unemployed?" which, again, shows she barely believes him. and who could blame her, hes pre much like a starting app developer saying hell take down instagram. i know thats his charm, but its obviously a bit unrealistic no?
im seeing this over and over in these comments, but people are attaching intentions onto soo ah that she really doesn't show. shes not using anyone, trying to take advantage or get ahead. she's trying to keep an upper level job at a big company, and make a living. that is her biggest flaw, choosing between safely protecting herself by doing nothing at all, or risking her own survival by doing something. that might be a easy choice for some, but a harder choice for others.
soo ah has issues with selfishness and security, yiseo has issues with selfishness and empathy, geun soo has issues with letting the people in his life walk all over him, geun won is a dick but is ultimately a kid who wants love from his father, and saeroyi's essentially driven by revenge, as moral as he is. like damn even the chairman apparently suffered through extreme poverty. without spoiling anything, they all have reasons for being the way they are. i love this show because of the depth in the characters. people need to stop making snap judgments on characters based on what they do every episode, life is never that simple.
why are people so thrown off by yiseo's behavior, she is supposed to be a sociopath. yall know sociopaths for real cannot process other peoples emotions or sympathize normally, its literally a disorder. shes blunt and selfish on purpose, thats the whole point of saeroyi, whos blunt and selfless to be her counterpart. not even romantically, hes teaching her the importance of caring about other people. her being rude is important to her character. plus shes a kid
alright so this gunna be long for no reason but to me the joker was never meant to be the focus of this show. he really just added this cool kinda uneasy thriller background to what is largely a character-driven drama centered around what being a family means and what family means to every person, especially mothers. I think thats why young shik pretty much dismisses the joker by saying "i dont care whats in the mind of that psycho" because it honestly doesnt even matter to the actual point of the drama. thats also why any focus on the Joker throughout the show was actually mainly through his son, in other way pretty much looking at their messed up, but ultimately, close family relationship. even that jessica girl who craves attention, is essentially depriving her own child of her attention, so much so that we hardly even see the baby. thats why to me, this show has some of the most thought out and well done character Ive seen in a while. lmao thats my ted talk.
for the most, i really liked this drama. but if it was like 6-8 episodes long, it would have been much better. the story was beautiful but a lot of the middle parts were semi-pointless. still worth a watch.
