I know that a lot of people have praised this drama so before I start it could I know if the romance/chemistry…
IMO the romance between the ML and FL is great though a bit angsty at times.
I do not believe in the concept of chemistry though as everyone seems to have their own opinion on who has chemistry or not, with people even declaring irl couples to have "no chemistry". So you would have to judge the chemistry for yourself.
well, as one will be there depending on how it's taken, FL liked SML before she found out the dirty truth about…
so far this has been a very cute romance and I would not call anything in here a "love triangle" (except maybe potentially the side couple).
The first episode the 2ML & the FL are in a secret office romance. The ML has a crush on her but that is it. The second episode is about the FL discovering the 2ML is getting married so has been lying to her and cheating on her. The following episodes are about the ML & FL's budding relationship. So far the leads are not about being in a "love triangle". In fact it is about them refusing to be in a "love triangle" as both had ex's who cheated on them.
Though I must admit, episode 2 is a bit frustrating because the ML disrespects the FL's boundaries, but later episodes it is all about him respecting her boundaries.
I'm loving this drama so much so far! (Many of the comments here...not so much.) I love the main couple together…
This is MYDramaList. Pretty much the done thing here is to criticize the Female Lead Character and/or actress. Whilst the Male Lead Character and/or actor is boosted. Even if the ML is a rapist (ala Thai Lakorns) he will get less hate than the FL.
Commenters on here seem to go out of their way to only comment about the FL's and if you pull them up on it (because the ML is worse) they constantly say that they are not being sexist for only commentating about the Female characters/actresses.
before i start this can anybody tell me this is a ex comes back and mlor fl goes back and then know he or she…
Your comment is very hard to understand, but I think you are asking if an ex comes back. Both ex's of the main characters come back. The ex of the male and the ex of the female lead.
I did not mind the female ex, she was quite mild compared to other korean dramas and definitely compared to the male ex. BUT as someone who suffers from a mental illness and has been around a lot of people with a mental illness as a result of it, I get annoyed when people try to excuse downright criminal behaviour because of "mental illness". And that is what I feel a lot of people commenting on this show seem to be doing. NOTHING the female ex did was anywhere near as violent/nasty/wrong as what the male ex did, but in the comments it is the female ex getting the hate. A Mental Illness is NOT a "get out of jail free card" for avoiding responsibility for your actions. The male ex knew his actions were wrong and did them anyway.
I like this, but this should have the "reverse-harem" tag. And just a warning for those interested in the romance, it pretty much does not happen until the end, before that it is just the fl being harassed by her harem.
In fact nothing gets resolved until the final episode. Other dramas will usually resolve some things as they go, but this leaves EVERYTHING to be resolved in the final episode. You could skip episodes 9-17 completely and not miss anything storywise. And even then, it flakes on the resolutions by not showing them, just showing the buildup or the aftermath. Extremely unsatisfying.
Really, I think a better resolution would have been for her to accept her inheritance and remained single instead of the other way round. NONE of her harem deserved her. All of them constantly put their own interests above her. Considering how selfless the fl becomes she really deserves someone who would put her first.
Ok, it is listed above that it is on Viki. BUT it is not available in the North American region, the Oceania region, the SEA region, or the UK/EU region. sigh
The above synopsis is the stupidist synopsis I have ever read. I feel stupider just from having read it If the drama is like the synopsis I feel nothing but the deepest sympathies for those who watched it and lost braincells.
I am trepidatious about starting this drama despite my love for IU. IU is the only female in the top 6 castmembers…
Thanks for your reply. I won't write it off completely, but I am still unsure about it.
Yeah, I really do not like harem stories (male or female harems), but it is not just because it is a harem. It is because when there is only one character of a particular sex amongst a cast of the opposite sex, the character of the single sex suffers - they are stuck being 2d cutouts, because the character depth is usually concentrated on those who are the same sex because they are trying much harder to differentiate them.
This has happened in "Cinderella and the Four Knights", "Oh My Emperor", all versions of "Meteor Shower" and more. Now IU is a good actress but other good actresses like Park So-Dam and Rosy Zhao have been unable to save their characters in these roles.
This starts of decent but towards the midway point, the ML starts to behave like a domineering control freak (even by CDrama standards). The FL must do the physical exercises HE thinks she should do, she must stop when he says stop, she must feel guilty because he did not eat because he was waiting for her, she "must NOT treat him that way BECAUSE he cares for her" (said with sneering contempt by the ML). sigh. With the ML in the Korean version, you actually believed he was trying to save a girl who saved him as his primary motivation. In this one you get the sense the ML is trying to mold himself an easily controlled pliant gf as his prime motivation.
And somehow they made the best friend even more annoying than in the Korean version.
Im kind of sad cause i wanted to see more of them. And at the end, knowing that they didnt really got together…
The original was about him stopping her committing suicide. This one, the primary motivation of the ML seems to be to mold the FL into an easily controllable & pliant girlfriend.
The point emphasized in the main story is that the events will still happen, it is only the people it happens to you can change. So, it is almost certain she will still change schools
Is there any non-sexist reason you negatively commented solely about the FL and not the mercenary rape/murder…
Again, the FL gives you a "headache". The male lead chooses with open eyes to help, rapists, murderers, kidnappers in exchange for money (and in a way that is a lot more than a normal lawyer). He could even be considered a rapist himself considering what he did. YET your only comment is about the female lead.
And your sex does not determine if you are sexist or not against a particular group.
Just finished it yesterday and I skipped a lot in the last three episodes it was useless ,, I watched How the…
Is this going to be another drama where writer tries to excuse and/or redeem the antagonists in the end which leaves you frustrated because the only way the bad guys get caught is because they confess in a bout of 11th hour remorse. (Like this same writer did with "Secret")?
This writer does not like his/her protagonists to win. He/She prefers them to get participation trophies.

Not really. It is just I have noticed a tendency on kisskh for commenters to only pick at female characters (and actresses) whilst never mentioning the male character/actor. No matter which actress, ALL will have comments negatively referring to them or their character, whilst the same does not really happen to male actors in the same way.
I totally agree with you both of the Leads have no common sense. Also, they did not really grow for over 40 episodes.…
Weak female leads can be interesting if they have an arc where they develop. They need to show some growth as the show goes on. The Kdrama "Mask" and the Cdrama "Boss & Me" are two examples of weak female leads who grown into strong female leads over time. But sadly this is rare.
I do not believe in the concept of chemistry though as everyone seems to have their own opinion on who has chemistry or not, with people even declaring irl couples to have "no chemistry". So you would have to judge the chemistry for yourself.
