I don’t mean to come at you; I get your point, I was just adding my own criticism of the writing. There’s still 8 more episodes, we might learn more about her character as we’re back in her hometown now 🤗
I think that's actually the whole point of her character. She supposed to be chaotic and not composed to display…
The trope of the loud and chaotic character that doesn't fit in with city life is so overdone, it feels like lazy writing to me when all of the other characters are pretty well fleshed out. I'd excuse it if she was just a minor character, but it doesn't seem like she is.
Thought this was cute so I wanted to share it here: https://v.douyin.com/iFc6X4yb/. The actor for Lin Qiaosong posted a douyin of him apologizing to WRL. The rough translation goes:
I, Lin Qiaosong, solemnly apologize to Wei Ruolai. I shouldn't act recklessly on my own territory and beat up such a clean Wei Ruolai like a dirty bag without considering the consequences. In such a shattered state, Wei Ruolai still needs to receive a shot. If there is another time, I still dare😈 (things are thrown at him) ...I don't dare😓
I just realized the thing SJZ said to WRL about some deaths being as light as a feather or as heavy as a mountain is the same thing Lin Qiaosong said to Li Shengda in episode 5 when they were looking for Wei Ruochuan. Interesting that they were both talking about the same person when they said it. I’m sure there’s more to analysis to draw from this but I haven’t thought that far yet lol
Which of the previous adaptations are best to help me familiarize myself with the world and characters of this story? Given it has so many adaptations, I’m guessing they’re not going to explain much in the movie since most of the target audience is already familiar with the story so I want to prepare a bit
In YouTube I can ding the episode 1 only with 30 minutes to be. Is this it or I'm doing something wrong and I…
The rest of the episode is on YouTube as well. The channel is called “YOUKU SHOW-Get APP now” and the video title starts with “Non-sub [Street Dance of China S6] EP01 Part 2.” Look for “01 下” in the lower left corner of the thumbnail

You’re free to have an opinion on an opinion on an opinion on an opinion. I just don’t see why you have to laugh at their opinion just because you don’t agree with it. It’s not conducive to discussion and just leads to arguments/fights.

Isn’t it all a matter of personal opinion? Maybe MJTY simply suits her tastes more than TYM, why is that a joke? Not everyone has the share the same opinion as you
ErickaRamirez, the Xiao Zhan anti, loves to block people and then lie behind that block. Just check her ratings,…
I find Enigma pretty fair most of the time, idk what you're talking about. Just because she rated MJTY higher than SMBS, that doesn't make her a XZ anti.
I hear you, but I'm talking most about her friends meeting, where they talked with hypocrisy and wanted to show…
I think it's like a "if he wanted to, he would" thing. Yes, the husband doesn't make much money and she clearly knows that considering she didn't take the tag off. But if he wanted to, he could save up for a while to buy her something nice or take her out to eat like they were talking about a few episodes ago. It's not just about wanting to show off and feel pretty, but also the fact that he never does anything thoughtful that's purely to spoil her. All he thinks about is how thrifty he's being by recycling other people's trash.
I'm at episode 2, so he met her 10 years ago for a moment and fall in madly in love with her that he changed his…
I don't think he fell in love with her (at least not yet), it's more like he sees her as his idol because she inspired him. Wouldn't you want to meet your idol, tell them how inspiring they are to you, and become closer with them if you had the chance?
Why is this being promoted on other places and sites as romance with stills of him and the girl and here doesn’t…
Not sure why, but it’s definitely not a romance movie. The relationship between Chen Shuo and the girl (I forget her name bc it’s literally only said once) took up maybe 15 minutes of screen time, if that. I’m not even sure if they were official boyfriend and girlfriend by the end of the movie.
I have a question. When Shi Ying cut his hair for the Emperor, what did it mean exactly? I get the context but…
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I know that it is a belief in Confucianism that everything you have belongs to your parents, including your hair. That's why ancient Chinese people had long hair because you had to have permission from your parents to cut your hair (and no, just asking them doesn't work because other people wouldn't know that you asked them). I'm guessing cutting a piece of your hair and giving it to your parents is like a symbol of giving back to your parents, like thanking them for everything. So Shi Ying just dropping his hair on the floor was kind of like a "thanks for nothing," at least that's how I interpret it.
CM is a very nice and funny character, with a lot of good lines
Not to be that person, but he calls himself "laofu (老夫)" which is a dated first person pronoun used by old men. Still pretty funny considering there's not a wrinkle to be seen anywhere on his face lol
