I was really hoping to like this more but the push-pull is really tiresome by episode 5. Seeing grown people acting…
Also to answer "How many more confessions, grand gestures, flirting, chasing does she need to get that Tae Oh is in love with her", yuri understand perfectly taeoh's feeling by ep 5 and already intended to confess her own feeling. But hanaoka's sudden confession caught her up guard. And if you understand her characteristic, she obviously is the type who doesn't want to be happy alone while her longtime precious friend is suffering. And the misunderstanding after that is more from taeoh (who misunderstand yuri-hanaoka's relationship), and not from yuri.
My Netflix only released 5 eps so I haven't seen beyond that, but yeah in that ep her sudden change of heart (?)…
my advice is watch more jdramas, outside romance genre, outside mainstream channel, outside popular ones, outside idol starring ones, and you will find many gems. jdramas are too diverse to be generalised like this 😊
I was disappointed with the kisses... I know he is a great kisser since I saw him kiss in his other dramas so…
lol but sorry, i think you will get heart attack if you see fumi in her other works. she can do more than kissing scene. i think it's more because of tbs direction, maybe to keep the rating pg-13?
about the ending, i'm glad yuri didn't lose her power. i love every interaction with her and her father so i just love taeoh who definitely understand that too and didn't care even though something bad may happen to him. and like i suspected, min hana's late boyfriend's death had nothing to do with her power lol. though i feel bad for her because she went on living while blaming herself all these years. i feel the ending a bit rushed though, don't know how to explain it, but i wish the episode was a bit longer.
anyway this is not a perfect drama per se, but it has everything i want in a romcom: interesting characters, nice chemistry, funny comedy, and the most important thing.... (in mahiro voice) ときめき! (excitement). it's been a while since the last time i watched jdrama in real time and even though i had to endure all those commercials, it's a fun experience. and i'm gonna miss all these characters especially our couple yuri and taeoh. so please tbs, give us sequel please~
okay, we finally know what happened in the end of the picture book. my question is how min hana (the author) knew…
it's posted on official account (twitter/ig). also there's new longer preview just released yesterday. it's not posted by official yet but if you search through #eyeloveyou hashtag on twitter you will find it.
okay, we finally know what happened in the end of the picture book. my question is how min hana (the author) knew that her late boyfriend's death is connected to her power? (i watched without subs so maybe i missed something). the last scene is cliche but i think they will be okay (maybe light injury, well i hope 😭) and because of that accident maybe taeoh will see the seriousness of the situation. but still, taeoh's unwavering feelings for yuri even though he knows what will happen to him if he keeps dating yuri is just.... aaaarghhh (i don't know what to say, i just love you taeoh).
ep 10 preview: not much preview here, but from the preview i still think the way to break the curse is for yuri to lose her power, which means losing her way to communicate with her father. also yuri's "mani sarangheee", that will happen in korea, right? right?
I'm seeing a lot of kdrama stans criticize the FL and the over-the-top acting/comedy... When essentially, ELY…
actually i don't really get the "over the top" comment from some intl viewers. i've been watching jdramas my whole life and of all "over the top" jdrama female characters that i've seen, she's the least over the top. also that kind of comment are only from intl viewers because every time i search comments about this drama from jp viewers on twitter, there's nothing but praise for fumi's acting. (and some of these jp viewers are avid kdrama watchers and they're not really familiar with jdrama)
so we're getting further into the mystery part of this drama while still have some lovey dovey moments between…
from yuri's hand movement every time she's doing mind reading. first time was at the restaurant, you can see taeoh mimicked her hand movement with confused face. and when yuri did the same thing later at the park after their date, it immediately reminded him of that picture book and that noona, and how their story is so similar with the picture book (soap bubble, flower, ribbon).
so we're getting further into the mystery part of this drama while still have some lovey dovey moments between…
the professor is not a bad guy, he's just worried because yuri+taeoh's story is the same with the story in the picture book and in the book it is said misfortune will happen to them, though we still don't know how the book end.
there are still 2 eps left so i think the filming in korea is for the final episode (in next two weeks).
so we're getting further into the mystery part of this drama while still have some lovey dovey moments between the couple. some bad things happened that looked like it's connected to the picture book. and it's finally confirmed that taeoh knew about yuri's power (and yuri knew that taeoh knew). and taeoh's "i will continue loving yuri" after the professor told him to break up with yuri really melt my heart 🥰
so i guess the only problem is the picture book. we still don't know the end of the book but the back cover looks like it's two of them shouting at some place. is that place the park in taeoh's hometown where you can shout your wish (ep 7)). i heard there will be shooting in korea today and this drama had a lot foreshadowing so i'm expecting that scene to happen.
ep 9 preview: sleepover! matching pajama! btw i wonder if yuri's dream from ep 2 will become reality in this episode? (hehe) and is it just me but i feel there will be something going on between hanaoka and min hana (the picture book author).
since i still saw some bad comments about yuri, i want to balance it with writing bad comments about taeoh lol.…
1. ignores yuri's request to call her boss and to not to talk to her casually in ep 2 2. follow her after the nomikai even though she ignores his "let's go buy ice cream" request 3. saying "our relationship is secret" while yuri never confirming if they even have a relationship. 4. spamming yuri with a lot of messages 5. generally being rude with ppl in higher position like when he feeds hanaoka in the car. like that's your boss, taeoh.
i saw some comments from korean people and they think as someone who works in different country, taeoh is considered rude with the way he interacted with ppl in higher position. but i guess he's lucky because he's surrounded by good people so it doesn't become a problem and it's what makes him endearing (the dean in his campus also adores him right?) and later he also realizes he's being too pushy toward yuri (when he asked hanaoka if persistent man being hated in japan). other than that, i think if taeoh lives in different environment that's not as forgiving as his current environment, i don't think he will survive lol.
since i still saw some bad comments about yuri, i want to balance it with writing bad comments about taeoh lol. i love him and i think he's really a kind man with no mean bones in his body. but i think some of his actions were a bit questionable and i don't see anyone commenting about it in here. more in spoiler
it's a romcom, I don't think we can think too deeply about some of the logic 😅😅
there's actually logic behind that. reading people's mind is not the same with understanding people's feelings. for yuri, as long as hanaoka never said his feelings explicitly in his minds, she will never know his feelings. that's why it made her upset when she learned about the truth because she realized her power doesn't automatically make her understand people's feelings.
i think it's more because of tbs direction, maybe to keep the rating pg-13?
