Looks like a good show apart from the "comedy". Does anyone really find characters just acting stupid or weird randomly for the sake of "comedy" actually funny anymore? It just makes my eyes roll and irritate and there is too much of it in this show. Maybe in the days of Laurel and Hardy or Charlie Chaplin someone tripping over or doing a little dance or making a funny face was funny, but come on ... with the amount of actually funny things we consume these days from all kinds of social media and internet our sense of expectations have moved on and become a lot more sophisticated. Even these actions can be funny you need to change it up some levels and make them unexpected or something. So make an effort. Stop being lazy and making characters keep doing that crap in the hope for a laugh because we are not children and we just start to dislike that character and even worst, sometimes the actor. There is plenty of scientific research on what makes things funny. If making funny shows is what you want to do as a job go and study it and stay up to date like any other professional.

Yes. Shame. All that amazing talented cast, effort and visuals. It could have been a perfect movie with a decent solid story added in and a properly stepped development of their relationship of enemies/rivals to friends/lovers.
This visual affects were great. The costumes, acting, visuals were brilliant. The topless guys were appreciated.
The music was mostly annoying and off-putting in most of the scenes. I don't know exactly what it was as I'm not versed in musical sciences but it just got on the nerves. I listened to the audio in English with the subtitles on so I could turn the music off when it was just too bad and still understand what was happening. The visuals without the sounds were amazing. Practically none of the subtitles matched any of what was spoken (the english audio with the english subtitles both were saying different things .. so confusing and messy).
The story is a bit random and a bit ... patchy/jumpy at important bits. Qing Ming seems to know little at the start but then randomly/suddenly seems to just have a lot of knowledge which he talks out loud to explain what is happening to try and patch/fill the gaps (unsuccessfully) which kept making me disconnect from knowing who he is. You know what they say "don't tell a story, show it" especially in a medium like a movie let alone a book. After a bit I just surrendered on catching/there being any kind of solid/useful story and just enjoyed the pretty pictures.
I couldn't really empathise or invest in any of the characters in terms of caring for them or hating them or even how the story goes as it kept taking too many little jumps in not involving us. Important concluding moment happens off screen so no satisfying the viewer.
Its like a jigsaw puzzle not beautifully completed into a picture but pieces just left next to each other or the edges on top of each other. you can see what a beautiful picture it would be but can't immerse into it and its a bit of a mess.
I love these actors and all that effort and so what a waste. Hopefully its just me.

Let's see. It is definitely someone who seems to have access to and knows their way around medications and injections and has a full set of teeth. Maybe they should just take teeth imprints and match them to the bite marks.
Really great so far. Keeps you gripped and wondering what is going to happen and just about every moment feels significant. I was a bit uncertain at the start because I didn't want to ruin my love of KK from TWM, but no fear this show is great and I'm loving these characters just as much but in a whole different way. Tul is especially brilliant as the doctor and i'm already caring a whole lot for Dr Bun. Becoming one of the best shows so far, and you dare not look away even for a moment in case you miss a clue. Totally looking forward to the next episodes.

We get some good showings of Tarn's emotions and feelings for Teh not only from his perspective but multiple times from her POV also when he isn't even aware. We get slapped around silly by the emotions from Teh. Oh is just amazing by not even needing to say a word to how wonderfully his body language, expressions and looks convey his ever changing inner world to us + all the obvious. But Bas .... not much. If there was anything to show I think the program would have shown as with Tarn. Because Tarn is to Teh as Bas is to Oh at the start of the show. We only get a moment alone with him in the bedroom when Oh leaves. And most of the time he doesn't show any particular emotion or act in any way to show love interest. As you say we don't know his private world. Maybe his bedroom is plastered with love tokens on all four walls, ceiling and floor and he has a shrine to Oh in each corner. But unless we are shown it somehow we can't know it is there. Really in this show we only get a good understanding of the feelings of Teh, Hoon, their mother, Oh and Tarn (and Tuti). I don't think anyone else's private world is exposed much.
