ITSAY was all at such a high level so we are all excited that this part would stay at that high level or even better.

Totally agree we only have the 1st episode. And so the only thing we can compare it to would be the 1st episode of ITSAY.

1st episode of ITSAY: every moment was unforgettable and can be watched over and over again without getting tiring.

1st episode of IPYTM: The whole episode is forgettable and I can't think of any bit I would want to rewatch.

Even if we forget ITSAY exists this 1st episode would still be forgettable.

Both parts show basic little problems we all face in life but its the quality of the way they are shown. So its not that they deal with different periods of life so this part doesn't need to be as great.

Lets enjoy the next episode :)

The acting, cinematography and visuals were great.
But I did find myslef skipping some tedious bits and I don't feel any compulsion to rewatch the 1st episode. The music didn't have much of a role. No praticular extra special moments to recall. ITSAY hit us with them one after the other none stop so I guess I expected the same to continue. Also in ITSAY the sound/music and visuals/colours were big characters themselves. Here they seem to have been replaced with some that don't have as much of a presence.
Lets see how the other episodes turn up. Also this episode didn't leave as much of a "can't wait for the next episode" feeling as part 1.

I know its one big show split into two parts. I'm just describing the experience of this one episode.

Obviously this company is capable of producing the kind of quality that ITSAY had so there is nothing wrong with wanting the same or better. Hopefully this will end up being even better :)

Love this show.

I found this really confusing on the first watch and didn't enjoy it. But on the re-watch as I knew what was happening it is an amazing movie. so I think they could have helped the viewers understanding a bit better with the way it was made as if I saw it in the cinema I would probably go away a bit no too happy. defiantly worth several re watches.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with any of my comments. and thanks for being the kind of person who took the time to find and share them again so we can enjoy my effort and communication style again. they were all about the sound affects and absolutely relevant to the post they were made on to show how irritating and unneeded the effects were.

And beyond that the only thing I've said is I do like the show from reading the subs and watching it :)

I also don't like all the overacting which is just painful to watch. I do like Gene and he seems to be the only calm figure in this crazy world. I'm looking forward to sharing his journey and adventures.

I didn't say the show isn't sophisticated. I said peoples aptitudes for shows have become more sophisticated due to social media, international offerings etc. compared to say our grandparents time.

And I love it that we can hopefully have a variety of BL shows with hopefully cutesy, horror, comedy, crime, drama, serous issues and everything else. there is no restrictions on what makes a good BL.

TharnType S2 apparently has a lot of the BL elements you said you think BL fans want but I don't think its that much liked. Sure people like cute fluffy moments and that has plenty.

And saying you don't like something is a good enough reason in itself without having to always need to search out exactly the BECAUSE.

And if all anyone has to say are complaints that's perfectly fine as are unending complements

You carry on enjoying too and its great that we get to share this experience our different thoughts and outlooks. So lets grow together

I obviously like the show otherwise why do I need to say it? or are you going to now tell me I cant be liking it just because I keep pointing out the negatives? but what is wrong with that? If I didn't like it I would just say that and there would be nothing wrong with that either.

If I want to respond to other's comments and communicate with them what is wrong with that? I only made relevant observations on those comments about the sound affects and in a funny way hopefully. Why did that get under your skin?

I don't know the ins and outs of how the show was marketed or presented and I don't really care. I just want to watch good shows and decide from that experience. I just came across it and clicked on play and saw what I liked or didn't like.

I do understand what you are saying but I don't agree that everything needs to be kept in such strict boundaries just because that's how its been enjoyed in the past.

The ignorance comment from me was just to point out that just because this is going on a mainstream channel doesn't mean the people watching it haven't already developed more sophisticated tastes. It was your comment to that the show must have certain elements because its going to be the first of its type that general public see.

Anyway, we all are here to enjoy BL shows and all aspects of them so anything that makes them even better and more populous can only be a good thing.

I do like this show. But with the sound turned off. Those sound affects are like a forcefield keeping a lot of people from watching or enjoying it. It is great that the people making it are aware and so hopefully it will help in future projects. I understand that you are loving the sounds and that's great for you.

In your opinion you have decided BL fans and general public should and want to see certain types of stuff and nobody should and wants to see some other stuff according to you. That's just total nonsense. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes. BL fans or not, people can tell if it is a good show or total crap and it doesn't matter if it is full of toxicity, romance, angst, love, hate, comedy..... and just because a show is going to be on a "mainstream" channel doesn't mean therefore its automatically good. Plus BL fans will at least give it a go even if it is unwatchable other general public don't need to bother unless it is gripping in some way.

Frankly, putting on the satire and making it pink and camp etc is probably going backwards in time to what people expect of good shows these days. People do have the internet and social media so there is no such thing as "ignorant general public" anymore who don't know what a good show is.

Please lets not link this to TharnType S2. I still can't touch that thing. Loved S1

And every time a new episode comes out we get reminded and disappointed again as this is a show we could be really loving and enjoying so obviously we must jump up and down and make a bit of a fuss about it again ;)

We can probably safely agree that us everyone here are from the same BL loving family. So we all make an effort to joyfully look for and enjoy watching these shows. The main problem here is that one of the basic ways we engage with the show is through sound and the other is the visuals. For a lot of us the sound part is just painful so its useful to complain and make a big deal about it as it is really harming our ability to even watch the show. Therefore hopefully future shows will not have this issue. With Cherry Magic we didn't have this issue so we can actually engage and discuss the story.

So in this case the packaging is just so bad that its not even letting people want to open and eat the contents. So how can they even get to the stage of talking about how flavoursome or tasty the story, acting, emotions and all the other amazing things the show may have to enjoy?

With Cherry Magic we could easily take in each bit and savour and discuss it as it wasn't irritating in a basic way.

But sure some few people love things extra different and colourful. So enjoy it in its own way

but seriously the only way to enjoy this show is on mute

Just came across it. I haven't seen it properly yet, just skimmed the 1st episode to see if it was worth investing time in. i translated the subs for the first few scenes and it looks like this one is going to be good.
The guys look hot and whenever they meet during this episode the the intensity and eye-love between them looks to be on a higher level

The only reason for future shows to be better is if say what doesn't work now. If no one points it out then we will keep getting the same as it is assumed we love it.

ITSAY was good but the story is very simple and its more about the looks, the music, the visuals and the acting.

Also at the same time if anyone wanted to compare everything to ITSAY nothing wrong with that either. Each to their own :)

I know what you mean. All the background music, the sound affects and the characters acting wild and crazy ... just makes the watcher go a bit crazy too but not in a good way.

could be good. but what is with the weird constant background music and silly sound affects?! after a bit they become so irritating that watching this thing becomes a pain. shame to ruin all that effort and what could be a good show.

if it is meant to be funny then whoever thought it up needs to go back to funny school and learn what actually works

That's hardly a revelation. For most couples, one will die long before the other. As for the survivor, for some it will be a relief and for others grief. I have seen both types.
Obviously we want our beloved characters to remain the same forever and live on happily in our mind so it is a shame you got that info to ruin that experience for you. I read a book when I was a a child "The Last Herald-Mage" by Mercedes Lackey. One of my first ever BL reads and the ML dies. I still haven't got over it after all these years so I must read it again to see if it was how I remember it.

It's a great trilogy to read if you want to give it a go. sorry for the spoiler but give it a go you might love it as much as I remember loving it

For English subs, on YouTube, enable subtitles which will be in Chinese but then under settings enable auto translate to English or other languages listed.
not perfect translation but you can understand what is going on.
