Wow! Where do I start from? For starters, I haven’t posted any comment for over a year, but I had to break all protocol for this drama because it took away my breath and I feel the universe won’t forgive me if I fail to do this.
Well, I have seen at least 20 Cdramas and I would say so far so good. “Boss & me” has always maintained the number spot in my heart these past months and I was okay with that. For others, they were averagely okay plus I would always skip most of the scenes.
I started with Kdrama hence the bar was pretty high. I compared Kdramas to other Asian series yet Kdrama remained unbeaten, but with “You are my glory” I’m battling with my mindset.
Before I go further, I would want to appreciate the scriptwriters, directors, actors, and everyone that made this possible. I must say, no one outshined anyone. They all did amazingly great.
“You are my glory” is a masterpiece! It’s simply, perfection!!! Every scene made sense, every conversation was meaningful. There weren’t any unnecessary issues, it went smoothly. There wasn’t any annoying love triangle, or some sort of crazy parents drama.
What I loved most was the love and support they shared. I mean you could feel it deep down your soul. I know don’t why I felt this way about this drama maybe because I’m currently at a place where I feel I have nothing to offer to anyone even when everyone around me says otherwise.
The male lead did a very good job. I could understand why he was sad. He had to choose caring for his parents financially and following his childhood dreams. All he needed was true love and I was so happy he got. I was happy he stayed so faithful and true to the love of his life.
And for the female lead, wow! I was blown away. She was very humble, never behaved like a celebrity, treated her team like humans, she respected the male lead’s financial strength and blended with what he has. It was truly beautiful to watch. I loved the fact that, her team on the other hand supported her. They didn’t try to control her life like most of the dramas I have seen rather they encouraged her to find love and supported her choice.
I can go on and on about this series. Oh! Lest I forget, the kissing scenes were pretty good. They acted like real couple, they hugged passionately, kissed as it could be and the bed scenes made sense. They truly loved each other, understood each other even without saying a word and the chemistry was off the hook. They supported each other, longed for each other, respected each other, cared for each other. So here’s my final verdict Lol
The last episode was very emotional for me. I asked myself “ Am I this patriotic to my country?” I loved how the institute gave special treatment to the staff family members, it was so beautiful.
Acting - 10 Dialogue (conversations) - 10 Directing - 10 Fashion - 9.2 Romance - 10.5 😂 Number of episodes - 10 (32 episodes made sense) Ending - 9.7 (I wanted her to announce her pregnancy or something)
YAMG is hands down the best Cdrama in my entire life. I apologize to “Boss & me” you fought bravely, but unfortunately, your reign has come to an end. …LOL
I’m still battling if I should make this my only all-time favorite, but I have seen some good Kdramas that has refused to create space for others in my head, but I’m sure when it comes to Cdramas, YAMG is comfortably sitting on the first position at least, for now. I don’t see any drama taking over though. It felt as if I was watching a Kdrama. It doesn’t have all the unnecessary scenes and annoying EXs, crazy rich parents that I always see in Cdramas.
And him wearing all those great clothes. He even made wearing the same naval uniform look Good!
Awww! So cute! He is slowly taking the number one spot of my all-time fav Asian actors. He has always been amongst the top ten, but I am gradually taking him to the first position.
It has been one of the best for me. The writer didn’t make us wait until the last eps to see romance and when…
Hahaha! Cool! I have started anyway. Currently on episode 2 and I’m loving it. I’m only hoping for a smooth ride. I’m super excited that I can’t breathe. Lol
Most comments on YouTube got my hopes up! I love Zhang and would watch any of his drama irrespective of the role, hence I was excited about this. I am not a fan of watching weekly episodes so I chilled and was waiting for it to end. Each time I went back to YouTube for follow-up, I saw a lot of positive reviews which made me smile.
Today, I decided to check here. Surprisingly, my expectations were crushed to the grounds. I am just a confused soul battling on what next to do. I love Zhang, but 45 episodes will require a lot of time and I wouldn't want to waste it on some bad scripting.
Now, I am caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. Lol!
Finally, all those wishing and wanting Zhang on other roles, here you have it. Left for me, I love Zhang's personality irrespective of the role played. I know he is an amazing actor and can fit in anywhere. However, I love him most in a rich guy's body, hence I don't care to watch it over and over again.
I won't miss this for anything in the world. I can't never get enough of Zhang Han.
Oops! I guess I’ll be the only one with a different view. Jeez, it was more like a sleeping pill for me. I nodded all through the drama even when I tired very hard to fight it. Lol
Effortlessly the most boring J-drama I have ever seen. At some point, I had to come back to this place for the second time maybe I was actually watching a wrong drama.
However, I still wanna do my normal routine of saying kudos to everyone that worked on the project. It was someone's hardwork and effort, after all.
Perfection! I cried like a river. Nothing beats this movie and I don't think any will ever come close. The writers, directors, and actors are God sent.
