I just wish she was also in touch with it and was hoping to see the final result.

The cult plot was so cringy. Also, the doctor turning out to be a cult member was so cheesy. But still, the movie kept me stressed throughout so there is that.

Yes, I always felt compelled to skip their romance scenes if it is not contributing to the case. I have felt that he has more chemistry with other characters than with her. A lot of little things about their relation ship was nice and supposed to be cute but it fell flat in the execution.
