It's hilarious to see that Rebirth, Zhuge Yue, and Xing Er are living rent-free in the haters head since the team production have announced the drama and casts through the express day, and maybe for months later. Thank you for entertaining us, guys.
Trailers are just bait. The story can be really different from what inferred from trailers alone.
Those are my thouhts as well. I guess I understand a little why people are sour. I like to rant (constructive) as well. I think this may help to raise the awareness and the quality of the future or whatever. I take adaptions as the idea of someone else and I either like it or not . Most important, NOT because others tell me they don't like it. If I do not like it I go on with my own ideas. But the circus around rebirth is a bit out of hand in my opinion. I have seen a lot people wanting continuations of stories but complain if this is not to their liking. And nitpick on everything to an unhealthy extend. I fear if this is getting "normal". We may get fewer adaptions/continuations as the risk for such projects maybe too high. And I don't like that at all. Perhaps Rebirth is an extreme example as there are a few other circumstances adding to the dissapointment of others. Btw, I like rebirth and plan to watch it till the end.

I get why so many novel readers maybe disappointed because everyone is painting the novel differently in their minds especially characters. So whats the point? I am genuinely curious, no offense meant!

if you watch princess agent then you will know that rebirth is very terrible compared to princess agent,.... princess…
PA is great, but the ending is the worst ending of all time because it left me hanging in thin air. If you compare it with Rebirth, I'll choose Rebirth because it will have a proper ending and it'll not leave me traumatized with a broken heart. đđđ
Mmm ... I don't understand, but I just hope not open ending. đ
Yeah, I donât understand anything either. I was just reading the caption up above and what she said was completely different than what he said so we wonât know. He said she said until we actually watched the last episode and how it goes, which is actually the very first thing that I will be watching so then I will know how many to watch in general since Iâm definitely skipping these four from yesterday and today so that only leaves four. But I want to know how it ends before. I decide to see how many I will watch in general of the last four. I donât want to see a rush to the finish line thatâs for sure and there are quite a few villains that still need to be killed especially the herpes virus along with her evil 13th prince and a few others.
This drama writes the villains very well. I see them like a very huge mountain that prevent the main characters…
Right!! Rebirth is very strong. Though I have watched only 17 epusides so far, I am quite impressed with the grippy plot, and as you said, the story is incredibly solidđ Love Rebirth!!

I really agree with this perspective, and I think you explained one of the strongest aspects of Rebirth beautifully. What makes the villains here stand out is that theyâre not just âevil for the sake of being evil.â They feel like forces shaped by a brutal worldâalmost like products of the same system that the leads are trying to destroy. Thatâs why they feel like that âhuge mountainâ you described. Theyâre not just obstacles; they represent everything wrong with that worldâpower abuse, fear, trauma, and survival at any cost. I also agree with your comparison. In dramas like Pursuit of Jade or The Double, the âcrazy prince/princessâ archetype can sometimes feel one-dimensionalâdriven mostly by instability or obsession. It creates shock value, but not always depth. In contrast, Rebirth takes time to show why these characters became that way. Their cruelty feels disturbing, but also grounded, which makes their downfall more impactful rather than just satisfying on a surface level. And that connection to the main theme is what really elevates the story. The villains arenât separate from the narrativeâthey are the embodiment of the dystopian cycle the leads want to break. So when the FL and ML fight for freedom, peace, and dignity, itâs not just a personal goalâit becomes ideological. Theyâre challenging an entire system, not just individuals. Thatâs why their journey feels so powerful. The darker the world gets, the brighter their ideals shine. It creates that strong contrastâdarkness vs hopeâthat keeps the story emotionally gripping and meaningful. Overall, I think youâre right: the writing is tight, intentional, and thematically consistent. Everythingâfrom the villains to the heroesâserves one core message, and thatâs what makes the drama feel so solid and memorable.
Ep 20, I didn't expect that Li Yan was the empress's son!!! 𫚠what a surprising development, omg how will it turn out between him & his half bro Ci'er?!?
Todayâs episodes were very bloody, I hope the 13th Prince will have a horrible death. His father is awful too. Likewise, Yan Xun only proves how cowardly and useless he is, he doesnât deserve the title of King of Great Yan, he hasnât done anything for his people. General Huan is awesome, she truly carries herself like a real general. I hope she gets more roles like this in the future.
This is actor Jin Han in chapter 25? I couldn't find his name credited in that series on MDL, but despite the character's makeup, I think I'm not mistaken.
Why do I prefer more parts of yanxu with achu thank zhu yue đđđđđđđđheâs obsessed with her âŠlove my man like that âŠdid I see the end heâs gonna marry helian or what đ€đ€đ€đ€đ€đ€ending ots
