I am really into historical Chinese dramas where the female lead is strong and independent. This is one of them. The female lead is strong, her own person and takes on any challenge. Then you have the male lead who knows when he needs to put his own ego to the side and listen to the FL. They fall in love along the way and then they become a force to recon with. Along the way, they run into many scheming corrupt officials and even family members who want them dead and will stop at nothing but they always have a plan because they work together, which I truly enjoyed. Nevertheless, I binged watched this drama everything about it was really good from the acting, to the chemistry of the main leads, the storylines and the costumes, all was done very well.
In my home country, it's been 2025 for an hour now, but in the country where I am now, it has just arrived. I don't know what other dramas we will meet in the comments, but it was a pleasure to be part of the discussion of this series. I hope that you are all safe and happy now, and may your dreams come true. I love this series immensely. And I feel attached to all of you.
And for the people for whom Blossom was not their cup of tea, I wish they could find their own stories that will bring them a lot of pleasure.
I finished the last four episodes today. I pretty much enjoyed it. The storylines did not keep the same excitement I felt over the first 15 episodes, but overall, it was still such a decent watch.
The camera' works and shots were absolutely captivating, for the first time, the slow motion did not annoy me LOL. The plotline was indeed gripping, plus with well-written characters, every character had their own screen time to shine, however, the side couple took too much screen time which made me feel frustrated.
Finally, the leads' chemistry was unmatched, this motivated me to keep watching.
It was a well balanced drama between cliché and fresh story telling and character building. They wrote amazing feminism /sexism subtext. They did not victimise female characters instead empowered them through their struggles.

Finally finished. I likes it , and I just loved-loved the ending! One thing I am confused about, are the 2 sons…
I believe half siblings. As far as having empress die with him, it’s because he doesn’t want the harem to be involved in politics. It can also be said that he’s afraid of her being in power.

It's because the current empress was really smart and good at governing. He feared that after his death she'll maneuver to take power away from his weaker crown prince. I think it was a reasonable fear but also a self-fulfilling prophecy because until that moment it seemed like she was a good wife who honestly wanted to help him and the kingdom and this was a betrayal to her so that's when she became the master villain.
Finished watching episode 30 and the scene where the maid servant of ML's mother tried to recall her memories with regards to the letter caught my attention for how wonderfully it was executed. Such a refreshing scene, rather than a simple flashback the type of creativity put solely onto this scene alone stood out for me.
i’m literally 8 episodes in and still confused on what is going on
Yeah. This isnt really a revenge drama at all. Just kinda ignore the fl previous life because she discards it and starts fresh after her mom dies. She isnt going around trying to get revenge. The plot more so is centered around the ML and the events that led him to become who he became in that previous life and how with the FL help he doesnt become that and we really find out what happened.
This drama is highly recommended! This drama is such a gem. The plot had so many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. The chemistry between the main leads was off the charts, making their moments together feel so genuine and heartfelt. And that happy ending? It wrapped everything up perfectly and left my heart feeling so content. Honestly, it's one of those shows that just stays with you long after it’s over! If you haven’t seen it yet, you definitely should!
Finally, I had some time to finish this drama. Nothing much to say except the obvious, this is one of the best dramas of the year. A pleasant surprise. I knew the director, but only from mini-dramas and the actors too, but mainly for supporting roles. I wasn’t expecting much, but it was excellent. Both the story and the performances were great. It’s really nice when a drama like this succeeds.
I binged it in a week, I loved it to pieces.BUT. The only thing that bothered me SO MUCH is the fact that all…
The cover is terribly typical for such an atypical drama. It works the other way around: Move on! In fact, it's a gem, and if they decided to save money on the cover, let them! Sacrificing the cover is better than sacrificing the important content of the drama itself.
