He found him when the boy was talking to his dying mother ( a patient) at the convalescent home. He intentionally let him go without moving further and was protecting his investment. (looks like)

I don't know why you would want Anxin's bio dad to suffer. He was poisoned by Auntie Hong as she wanted a father for her son with her ex. That is why she falsified the paternity test. Also, Auntie Hong wanted her daughter (with Anxin's dad) to succeed as Anxin was disposable to her. I think if dad knew that Anxin was his child, he would not have let her go. To rub salt to Auntie Hong's wound, Daddy, got a tumor in his brain and dementia and everytime, he would talk about Anxin (engagement, etc,) . He did not remember the other kids.
I also would have wanted Auntie Hong to pay for what she did. Like being boiled in oil like in chinese version of Scarlet Heart Ryeo (Korean).

With regards to the show, I think they (OTP) will get back together but not without a few curves. I do think that Dora will have no choice but to marry Jin Dan, and probably be abused and end up in the hospital or with a child. She will either run away or hide (just like her mother), or even kill him and run. The writer can be a dramatic A$$.
The story is about the resurrection of her career by the male lead. So, for that to happen, PS has to meet his birth mother and sister and become rich either by inheritance or with his own achievement. After he becomes the PD, he will find this actress again and bring her to the top.
I think so too. I think Dora will back out of doing the nude shot and decide that being with Gong Dan Jin might be her better path since she will have to keep doing these for ever to clear off the debt that her mother has accrued. That is why we see her being dressed up and wishing her love good luck.
