Even though Pei Yan is sweet and all, I consider her stupid. I think that she has fallen in love with Le and that is clouding her decision. She thinks since the child likes her - so will the father. I am ok with the leads forgiving their parents when they have not done anything wrong. But the ML mom has already done something criminal. It was not her child that she could take away from the FL and make her lose 12 years of that child's life. She wanted to separate her son and the FL because of the father. As long as she does not do any harm to the body or mind - legally, ethically or morally - then it is fine.

Actually it was the grandfather's greedy secretary who was the villan. Grandfather has his own ideas about what his son should do and did not like his son having different ideas. He was wonderful with his grandson. Till the end, the FL hated the grandfather only to find out it was his secretary who caused all the havoc while grandpa received all the shit.
