I remember this movie where this person holds someone hostage in the basement - I think she was nurse or something and near a lake - and holds him hostage. I would have nightmares even thinking about it.
When I got really frustrated with this drama, I watched a couple of episodes of Meant to be. It has gotten so much better with the victim handling all the perpetrators and dealing with them one at a time.
That is how this drama should have been written. they just dragged unnecessary parts and brought in trash to further demean a human being (KS). MaHD is just an emotional bully keeping KS (slave ) under her. Since KS did not have any support system of his own - he is still in that emotional dung pit. *****. Emotional or Physical abusers always target the weak and in a debilitating position to exercise their control. ****** That is what SJ has learnt. I wonder how SJ father was- since he is never mentioned in any conversation. Probably the older daughter and YJ take after the father and SJ takes after MaHD.
Still waiting to see when this SJ vomitrocious mess would end and the writer move on with other topics. They made KS a fool and a doormat to believe and waste his life for an ungrateful bitch of a woman like SJ (we all know that there are real folks like her and KS).
Maybe this must have been the moral of the story and writer or someone close to him might have gone through something like this and wanted to waste the viewers time without giving the truth about the drama and wrapping up in a blanket and calling it a warm drama.

I would think in the second half while the ML tries to forget the FL and gets on with the SFL, he would not be able to move on. The FL ditches the officer and lives her life taking care of her family. After she has done everything, I would want her to go find her ML and be with him. I would love such a direction in this story. When it is a romance drama, there is no use not giving a happy ending. We would want both the ML and FL who are so into each other, but have this wall between them because of other circumstances to overcome and be together. This is just how I am thinking the direction should move forward.
It was a difficult choice for Gil Chae with her father being sick and all and so she severed ties with the male lead. But extremely well directed and acting is superb. Looking forward to 2nd season. Thank you all for your comments. Enjoyed reading them.

IT is like one of those yoga poses where you have to pass your hand over the other shoulder and touch your nose. I equate this drama to be so, since the writer has no concept of writing a congruent piece to keep the viewers attracted to it. That way, Teacher Kim - is one which keeps the flow of story and interested every episode.

From the conversation that she had with her attorney, she was disposing properties related to James Kim. Don't know who that is. Could be her pimp, JD dad, or the man who saved her in the flowing water (if that really happened ?). Now that he is dead - she is taking all his wealth. Or she had a sugar daddy?
