He had probably no concept of life or marriage or raising a child. SJ - the ingrate, went ahead and dumped him and went searching for her future life - if that was to excel / enhance her career or to find Jandi baby daddy - claiming that KS was a no good husband. KS was guilt ridden because of that and decided to raise JD by himself. He needed a babysitter and their-in comes MIL and YJ. So, he decides to stay with them and search for his crush.
