As @Kathryn_51 said, Granny is not the legal heir to NX group. She is the MIL and she might have shares that she can give to her daughter strawberry. More than the shares, grandma seems to be pretty wealthy and she might give it to her (remember how she bought the apartment and gave money to SJ). Chairman did not know of any of that.

Above all, strawberry would have a parent and a chaebol for that which gives lot of credibility and status paving a better path for the future of her children and grand children.

Isn;'t the reason she wanted SJ to marry was because of the lies SJ told grandma. she always made up lies and told grandma only the things that were wrong with the other person (TK) and made herself look good. She did not mention that she was having an affair or that she was seeing someone. The reason grams wanted her to marry was to quell the noise around the issue. Maybe as a secretary, if it was handled better, it would not even have been an issue.
