The baby could definitely be A-Chan or their daughter! That leaves Do Yoon as the only character with no connection to the past, though, which would be weird.

So far all of the little twists they've done have been predictable, so I wouldn't expect a surprising plot. I personally don't mind if a show is predictable, I care more about the execution. I'm also not sure how else he could fit into the story without being A-Chan when every other character is a reincarnation?
Okay so theories: the FL took ML's soul, ML killed her, she reincarnated as a human. She allegedly killed his family, but with the revelation of who 2ML is and the fact it didn't actually show her killing them, 2ML may have been the one who really killed the family? Would make more sense since the FL saved the ML from drowning as a child and that we haven't seen her actively hurting people on screen.
I'm assuming that they have history even before Hwal's first life shown, in the life before that, and bad things happened there but she obviously still trusted him enough to have her sister ask for his help in the current timeline. Also likely that Hwal was the original Bulgasal before the cycle of them passing the soul back and forth started, so looking forward to that.
Am I the only one who thinks Nam Do Yoon is going to be the reincarnation of A-Chan? He's the only one they haven't shown reincarnated, and Hwal not recognizing him despite everyone being reincarnated with the same faces would make sense since he died young. It also makes sense with how they're shoving him into the story as an orphan, giving him an excuse to stick around. Have loved the scenes between them so far so I'm looking forward to more of them. Honestly preferring their dynamic over the leads. Not sure the romance is going to be very good in this show, it's kind of predictable, but the side characters and their relationships with Hwal have been really fun.
How was episode 2? I usually try to watch the first 4 episodes of a kdrama before I decide if I'll continue watching…
I enjoyed it more than episode 1 personally. We get more time with the prince, who's a more interesting character than the ML imo, and they don't waste any time getting into the story. But I don't think it'll be fore everyone, and there were a few stupid decisions in it, so it might be grating if you like your dramas to be very logical.
the finale episode totally felt empty, just like Hyun Soo's life now. I was expected that at least they will show…
I believe he was covered in her blood because of the cut on her hand. While they were having intercourse, she was scratching his back and the blood smears looked to all be made with the same hand, the one that was bleeding. Agreed that I wish they would have shown what happened that night.
Great review and what you're saying is on point! After having read a few reviews, I agree with your review the…
Honestly, I love some good fluff now and then. Sometimes I don't want to think. For me, I think the set up just made me expect more content, so when I didn't get it I was a disappointed.
I agree on all of what was said except the Lee Taeri casting choice part. He was supposed to look harmless (but…
It wasn't his appearance that I took issue with, it was just that it wasn't believable casting for me. It just felt silly when he was doing villain things because I couldn't take him seriously. But to some people it must have worked so to each their own!
I was also hoping they would have explored the idea of someone having the gene, but how environmental factors…
When it was first posted I honestly thought it was going to have an element like that in the story. But instead we got government conspiracies. It felt like the writer had a really 1 dimensional view of both psychopaths and serial killers, especially with how she used both terms interchangeably.
Yes, of course you're right. But there was just so many bad comments (for me, they weren't really explained, just…
I find that comments are where people go just to say how they felt about a show and reviews are where they go to write about what they liked and didn't like, and I think a lot of people will check reviews if they want opinions on whether to watch it or not. Of course, some people WILL read the comments instead, but not everyone. So I wouldn't let it bother you too much! There are a lot of reviews for people to see, and both positive and negative in the mix :)
If you didn’t like it you did good to drop it but I have to say that there wasn’t any psychological unscientific…
Yes thank you this is exactly one of the biggest issues with it right from the get-go. And they keep that psychopath = serial killer mentality up right until the very last episode, which is the most frustrating thing. And because their foundation is so flimsy a lot of what comes later is just as ridiculous.
Really happy you liked the show but everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Some people rightfully had issues with it, and not because they fast-forwarded through it. There are issues from the eugenics message it leaves us with to the one-dimensional characters, the unfocused narrative that has too many strings but not enough meaning behind them, it's predictability, and the constant 'plot-twists' that desensitize the audience to any meaningful change in the storyline. Making an article just to say you don't like the criticism is a bit much. You could have instead pointed out its good points, like the portrayal of Yohan throughout the show and how everyone's opinions on him changed based on the narrative they were given, or the commentary it gave on mob mentality. Knowing both its flaws and strengths is a great way to really understand a show and help other people understand it as well.
Tooootally feel you on that. All of the strife they went through just to protect her really didn't seem worth…
I think she was the biggest issue for me, but I also felt the villain wasn't very intimidating so there were parts I couldn't take seriously with the main conflict.
Spot on review !!! Can we also talk about how the decision to pass the bill didn't make a whole lot of sense when…
Yes, THANK YOU. I guess I get that the decision was made by public opinion but I don't know... yeah public tragedies do tend to spur on very dramatic public responses so I guess I could see it? Except not really because people are very emotional and if you or I think that the death of anyone with a gene is wrong or screams eugenics then I'm pretty sure other people would feel the same... The ending did its best to tie things over but I wasn't interested by that point. None of the characters really mattered to me so seeing what happened to them didn't either.
At first, I thought the brain matter transplant thing was far-fetched, but then I did google apparently it's already…
I would still consider it sci-fi until it's done in humans. It might be possible but we don't know yet. Who knows? It could end up like the 'defrosting hamsters in the microwave' test they did back in the day.
