I'm gonna have to disagree with reddit on this
Alright, who decided on that ending?I really, really, really love this. Like, the ending was just infuriating. See you at 10 dance. Die. Give me 10 dance. Show me 10 dance. Show me the sweat and the struggle and all the practice. BUT, that first practice was insane. The first practice with them together was genuinely... It was so sensual and intimate. 'If ballroom is first courtship, then Latin American is raw eroticism.' Like, it was just too... I can't even put into words. But it was like, the way he was watching him his every move and you couldn't really tell if it was just to learn or more. Suzuki was constantly ripping off his shirt genuinely just baring his soul to this guy being so vulnerable it's so clear the way he loves hot and fast and passionate. And this uptight, cold, reserved Suguki waltzes in and taunts him with the 10dance.
When I saw the trailer, it was just so sensual. They were so passionate in completely different ways, Suzuki flaunted his entire being for the world to see while Suguki showed his passion in his unrelenting obsession with dance and the art of it all . And I don't know anything about Latin American dance nor Latin America full stop so this is probably coming from a lot of uneducatedness from my part and the fact that I didn't know nothing about the dancing either means i don't really have a say on the representation nor the accuracy but also means i have nothing to nitpick either.
The actor for Suzuki was just insane. He's so sexy as well. Dear god. One review said 'he just lives, breathes, and walks like sex' and i genuinely couldn't agree more. The confidence that just oozes from this guy needs to be studied .And I just don't know the complete difference in characters. They both have undeniable confidence but the way they present themselves, how Suguki walks with the air that he KNOWS what he's doing and the self assurance of his clockwork abilities whatever happens HE will be the one to control it and Suguki just gives off the air of couldn't give a fuck, and I am obsessed with the contrast.
But the thing is, I kind of hoped he would have seen Suguki the same way Suzuki saw him when he was dancing just imagining him there, i wish we saw more of what he was thinking and how he felt about Susuki. The fact that he was fully clothed at all times shows nearly the fear he has to be vulnerable. The last dance the way they both just entirely threw themselves into it and you could feel how much they were enjoying it you could see why they dance, there was no more control or lead it was 'love that made it whole'. It was just sensual, and sexy and erotic and seductive and just so fucking passionate.
Give me the sequel like yesterday hun

Rushed and not very convincing
holy fucking sex scene. okay but in all seriousness..dude what?? what the fuck was that whole cutting himself with sun’s knife? weird mf. actually thats kinda known information since he had an obsession with the guy he fucked WITH A BIG ASS BUNNY HEAD FOR FIVE YEARS? erm what. acting was atrocious but only to be expected ig, again with the people loving the non con aspect? ik it was the whole he didnt want to open up bc grief but STILL? im getting a bad smell of revenged love and i want an air freshener asap. KAJORN MY ABSOULUTE GOAT I LOVE YOU, fucking best character ever. the photographer was reaaal strange but hes hot so he gets a pass. rushed asf ending with an explaination about as completes as a 5 year old’s drawing of a sun. whatever they kissed last scene so everything is justified… obviously. the entire romance seemed to be pulled from FARRR up the writers ass with nothing to give me reason why this CEO should be so interested in this random guy apart from the fact that he was just rude to him and sun was rude back? the texts, the following, it just felt incredibly un-believable…Was this review helpful to you?
This non-con is getting ridiculous
Holy shit what an absolute egregious waste of a show. I had been hearing people SCREAMING for this so I said I’d give it a go… Why did I do that. This was just a fantastical combination of the worst things you would want in a romance drama BL aside. What is it with China and the fucking non-consensual bullshit? What the fuck? I watched it in Revenge Love. I watched it in several other fucking Chinese dramas that I can't think of the name of. Why are they so big on the non-consensual bullshit? Stop it.The premise of this show is beyond ridiculous. Why are they trying to make two actors live together, practicing in their own time, and then shaming Zhang Zhun for not wanting to? Absolutely not. And then saying “Oh, well, if it feels good, then it feels good.” Um no??? If you're practicing, you should be practicing with an intimacy coordinator, not by yourselves in your fucking shared hotel room. It just seems so insane and unprofessional to pull from? I feel like intimacy coordinators probably aren’t as known about as they should be, ESPECIALLY when i see some twerps in the comments saying ‘oh this is definitely not acting’ or ‘this feels like self service not fan service’ brother that is the POINT YOU FUCKING IDIOTS. that’s the WHOLE SELLING POINT. So this kinda feels like some adaptation of some writer going ooooh let’s make these actors live together for 2 weeks to build chemistry and practice scenesss togetherrrr. oh BROTHER THIS GUY STINKS.
Another thing.. what is with this focus on breathing in intimate scenes? The only thing I’m hearing is LOUD ASS BREATHING and I’m gonna need everyone to BACK UP from the mic. I know the issue is with the dubbing but could we not have fixed this bullshit by now? China has been doing this forever and we still haven’t found a way of making the dubbing seem somewhat convincing? Instead I’m getting them breathing in my ear as ‘sounding sexy’ when if just sounds like bad asmr with actors who use vocal fry for a living.
Like why are they have sex when Zhen Xin’s aware that Zhang Zhun’s drunk? Why are you TAKING PHOTOS??? WHY IS EVERYONE SO OKAY WITH THIS??? All this bullshit just to get completely ignored when the main lead gets together. And the cheating? I’m fucking doneeeee.
I love this concept in dramas but if I see another rape-y, non consensual scene, I’m going to start hunting people down. It’s so unfortunate like why can’t we make this concept but not… morally wrong?
I’m sorry, I tried but this was scene after scene of non-con and it just ain’t working for me.
