I followed this when it was released. so much promise and the cast were so good. somewhere mid point, the emperor got more popular (Shin Sung Rok nailed the role). Choi Jin Hyuk needed to attend a long planned fan meeting overseas that clashed with the extended filming schedule, so he was cut from the last few episodes.
it was so heart breaking back then and even now.. was rooting for Na Wang Shik.. plot wise I couldn't enjoy the last few episodes.
one thing for sure, acting is 10/10, exceptional and superb.

everything was by their own doing (affair, not taking responsibility at work, covering up), FL just cleverly created opportunities for them and they spiral down on their own. She had to wait for the right time to throw the panties and ring 😆
How did they continue going to work facing humiliation everyday ? amazed at their thick skins 😂

she held her emotions very well, cos she already knows (oh so well) the horrid mother of MH and has to pretend otherwise. and getting into every nerve of the wicked ajumma including making a perfect dish . bravo ❤️🔥
I appreciate the layering of characters even more after 10eps.. the other (nice) sides of characters like Joo ran, Mr Lee, Grandpa are all slowly unveiled..
enjoyed their lines esp Jiwon quoting Grandpa- "can't blame the foot that stepped on po0p" 🤣 those 2 POS MH and SM🤣
the build up took a while but it's so satisfying to see the action and revenge
Min Hwan (2ML) is such a sad but 'comedic' villain. can't describe well... as a viewer I feel so conflicted, cos I snigger at his expressions but his actions and believes are so horrible and disgusting. He's chauvinistic, abusive, miserly, narcissistic, I don't see any hope for him cos he has negative self awareness. His mother is the female version of him.
Soomin is just purely a devil in a league of her own.
And they are so hard to shake off, persistently wanting to leech on Ji Won for their own ego.
