According to a review, this was inspired by love story (1970/book). I wasn't a huge fan of that movie, but according to said review, they don't have much in common other than a few plot points

I think forgiveness is important, because it releases you from bitterness. that being said, you can forgive people and still have healthy boundaries. but in this case, it's nice to see sibei and her mother mend their relationship in the end. while I do agree that her mother's attitude towards her for most of her life was unreasonable, but also put yourself in her shoes and the way she was raised. if people are willing to change, we should give them another chance. sorry for this long rant - these were just my thoughts while watching this drama

at first it was idolisation, but as he started to see her weakness and that she was an imperfect human being like him, his feelings developed into love.
I completed this drama in two days π₯Ίπ some scenes made me cry, which doesn't normally happen. I'm glad sibei and her mother worked things out in the end. the ending is sweet and hopeful. (but I was left wanting more scenes between the main couple) I give it 8.5/10
