i looked at a forum about this and understand it now

for someone who knows korean can you please tell me what was mistranslated, and what the actual meaning is?

i can read the names of the countries on the map.
I also watched the scene with german subtitles and it had the same meaning as the english one

what has been mistranslated?

do they translate it completely wrong or do they just paraphrase the translation so that it's not so literal?
subs on netflix, viki tend to be a bit different/worded differently than the subs on sites like myasiantv

I didn't know that this happens before. I meant it more since netflix is a big company, they probably have proofreaders and stuff like that

I forgot about him being a negotiator for like the whole drama till it was mentioned again

i completely forgot about that lol. what made me remember again were the comments about ep 12.

I actually tend to prefer if there are fewer episodes, because most dramas don't need to be 16-20 episodes long. sometimes I've found even 12 eps dramas that drag 😭. but of course if it's a drama that I really like then I would want it to have more episodes.

I find it hard to believe that netflix would mistranslate something

unfortunately it seems like kdramas don't know how to do endings that well. some are good. but for whatever reason some feel like adding a random conflict in the last 15mins of the drama which makes the ending for the couple less than 5mins long T_T

yeah they did, but I meant the mentioning of the paltima and izmael thing. I meant that that didn't add much to the plot

I find it hard to believe that netflix would mistranslate something. sure if it was a fansubber or something like that or the subs on some illegal sites then sure things can be oddly translated but not netflix

i'm not such a fan of gender role reversal..

so I finished it last night and..the izmael plot was unnecessary and didn't add to much that much to the plot, it was also only a short scene so you may miss it if you don't pay attention. I give this drama a 7/10, it took some time but I started liking the main couple and was happy for them in the last episode :) at ep 11 I also started to wish the second couple had more scenes, since they were cute and provided some lightness to the drama..throughout the rest of the drama I didn't pay that much attention to them, but I wish they had more scenes together now.
but also - like what was going on in ep 12 with the war zone thingy, it among other things felt disconnected from the story, but whatever at least we got some nice kiss scenes hehe
