i love the action element of the movie but most importantly, i love the fact that they made boksoon a single mother. i have been seeing so much right wing propoganda against single mothers and the so called 'fatherless behavior'. the fact that daughters are blamed for their fathers being absent is so disgusting and misogynistic. i love that there are some movies that are normalizing kids being raised by a single parent especially a single mom. this show is also a nod to the single moms around the world who might not be assassins but are warriors in their own right.
usually i love second chance romances but this one is kinda not it for me and i just don't understand why. it has everything i'd ever want in a show but somehow it's still not working for me :/
i feel like people who binged the two parts together rated it higher than the people who had to wait for the second part cause people who binged it altogether experienced instant gratification. i would've probably rated it higher too if i didn't have to wait...
it's depressing to see people criticize the age gap between two consenting adults just because the FL is older. are women in their fifties not allowed to fall in love? the same people who are criticizing this age gap have no problem with a 25 year old guy going for a 16-18 year old girl.
