The child was supposed to be Han Ye's brother according to the novel. The boy was put to rule as king by Han Ye's father and DJY as the regent queen when Han Ye was thought to be dead. But I'm not sure they'll change the story in the drama.

I'm not surprised if Youku was planning to release the drama on July 22th (as mentioned in earlier rumour) but probably decided to rush it to release it on 12th instead. With so many dramas lining up to be broadcasted like Lotus Casebook and Lost you forever, they might as get it out earlier than scheduled. That would explain the delayed screening schedule and promotion and messy subtitles on episode 1.... and also the live streaming party of the casts and the press conference was scheduled on 20th and 22th. That's my guess...
