Title Dear Mom
Li An Qing and Chen Qi Le: - The oldest sister who went to America, got married and divorced, and has a son named…
It's been a while since I've watched this drama, but I do remember thinking the two sister's stories were average/okay. Definitely skip the third sister's scenes! The drama was draggy though.

Title Ever Night Season 2 Spoiler
In season 1, Ning Que was protective of Sang Sang, but you can feel it's a platonic master/servant type of relationship…
Ning Que ends up with Sang Sang in the novel.

Why did they change the ML??
I heard that the company wanted to use DW to raise his popularity (since he's under the parent company that produces this drama). They gave AC (the original actor) a compensation drama (Legend of Awakening). AC didn't really have a choice but to leave...

The Pillow Book hasn't aired yet, but it's based on Feng Jiu and Dong Hua. Love and Destiny is complete and licensed by Viki. Good luck!

Title Eternal Love
Is this a sequel for something?
No, but there is a spin-off from this and it's 'Three Lives, Three Worlds, The Pillow Book'. There's also a drama, 'Love and Destiny', based in the same universe but has no relation to this.

Title Joy of Life Spoiler
Why does Yan Bing Yun betray and 'kill' Fan Xian in the end? Explain in detail if possible.
I haven't finished reading the novel, but I did read somewhere that they do end up being on the same side. Not sure how accurate this is though since I cant find much spoilers regarding this.

Title Joy of Life Spoiler
Why does Yan Bing Yun betray and 'kill' Fan Xian in the end? Explain in detail if possible.
YBY did not stab FX in the novel. Not sure where Wang Juan (the scriptwriter) is taking this, but it's new. He did say this regarding the ending scene,

"When was Wang Qinian not around? What was Gao Da's reaction in the last scene? Why did Xie Bi'an give them a night to decide? Why did the second prince try to stop them on the road and what is his true motive? Why did Fan Xian lie in wait for one night without trying to find a way out? Wang Juan ends his post by saying that audiences must read between the lines and not just see what is shown to them."

I'm guessing it's all a plot to trick the second prince.

yeah me neither but maybe that's the drama's script and not Adam Uni, maybe it's just supposed to be like that…
Tang Yi and another assistant were talking about a man during their balcony scene. The assistant mentioned something along the lines of how Tang Yi got rid of his underlings/followers and now the boss mainly stays in his night club and keeps a low profile. This man is the head of a gang and most likely the man Tang Yi is targeting from Cambodia. From his conversation with his "younger sister" it would make sense since she said he's been going after a certain man in Cambodia and getting rid of sources (the underlings/followers).

I understand filling in the blanks is a subber's responsibility, but the dialogue really does have problems. It's even confusing in Mandarin because of it's constant jumping of conversations and lack of information...

I'm glad I can help with clarification, but I want to note that there might be some areas I misunderstand since I'm not 100% fluent in Mandarin. May I ask the reasoning behind why everyone thought he was continuing the drug business? I'm wondering if I missed something...but his end goal is definitely to clean up the gang since it was mentioned a few times.

I think Shao Fei paid the full amount (or believes he did) since he has a stubborn personality and mentioned he would need to catch an unknown amount of criminals to make $60 thousand. Zhao Zi said "明明就有打折" which literally translate to "clearly there were discounts", but he said it more as a fact. So it sounded more like "there was a discount but you didn't take it". That would be the end of the discount situation, but "younger sister" added confusion to this by saying Tang Yi gifted a suit to Shao Fei in return for him arresting the other boss. If this was true then maybe Tang Yi paid for the suit on his account without Shao Fei knowing? This is my speculation though since Tang Yi did not reply to "younger sister". For all we know she could just be teasing Tang Yi since Shao Fei refused to accept a free suit or a discount.

My main complaint is that the dialogue could be written better or more information could be given to provide a better explanation.

You're welcome! I'm glad it helped.

All we saw was the other boss hand a stack of papers to Tang Yi and he burned it. I'm guessing it's a ledger or a list of locations that Tang Yi messed with? I'm not too sure, sorry. They didn't mention what's in the documents or gave a clear view of what it was. The dialogue also was quite vague.

From my understanding he is quitting. Which is why he mentions cleaning up the gang and creating a normal lifestyle for the members. It's also a continuation of his conversation with his "younger sister". He said that whoever refuses to turn white (clean up the gang) then he won't let them go/get away with it. So I'm guessing that he's quitting.

The inauguration is a mistranslation. What Tang Yi's assistant meant was the grand opening of their new assembly hall. So Tang Yi is leaving the grand opening to his assistant to deal with.

Is the girl Tang Yi's girlfriend or sister ? I didn't even understand that lmao
I don't think they're biologically related. I think they grew up together so Tang Yi views her as a little sister. My guess is that she's Boss Tang (the previous head of the gang) daughter.

She's also in the gang business, but on the "cleaner" side..or at least legit business aspect of it. Tang Yi told her to mind the business (the gang's business) to provide a normal life for their members.

yeah me neither but maybe that's the drama's script and not Adam Uni, maybe it's just supposed to be like that…
I think Adam Uni does have a good understanding of Mandarin, but he might be struggling with translating the slang/double meanings. Which is where some of his translations were a bit confusing for me. I'll try to clarify the above situations but I'm fluent in Cantonese and only started learning Mandarin four years ago.

In the beginning, when the boss said account he meant explanation. The literal translation of jiāodài/交代 (what the boss used) is account which I can see the confusion. What did he want an explanation for? Not sure. They didn't state it well. Xin Tian Meng is the Tang Yi's gang group's name. The conversation he had with the other boss (Quadruple Gang/Si He Hui) is about how Tang Yi is no longer selling drugs and is planning on cleaning up his gang's dirty past. The QG boss is angry because Tang Yi has messed his territory up. How? Not sure. They didn't clearly explain how it's related, but I'm guessing that the other boss is in the drug business and Tang Yi keeps shutting down his routes/businesses.

Regarding Tang Yi's sketch and height. Zhao Zi was trying to make a point of Meng Shao Fei's obsession/love with Tang Yi. MSF personally sketched an arrest warrant of Tang Yi and even marked/wrote down his height clearly. So it's not in the drawing, but probably just noted somewhere similar to an information key in wanted posters.

The conversation with his "younger sister" is about how Tang Yi keeps going after the drug cartels in Cambodia. He has dissolved/got rid of many sources in the past few years. She asks why he's so adamant on the sources in Cambodia and is guessing that he's targeting someone who is connected to the case from four years ago (the person who killed Boss Tang and a police officer). She said that quote because she scared that he'll end up sacrificing himself to help Xin Tian Meng (his gang) to start anew.

In my opinion, the dialogue is pretty poorly written and not much information is given. I'm still trying connect the dots and there's not much to go off of because there's only one episode available. With that in mind, there's not much known about Tang Yi's plan.

Hope this helps clarify a bit!

Sorry but I'm not sure if you're adding onto my comments or if you took offense towards them and believe I'm attacking Godt. If it is the former then please disregard the rest of my comment.

As I stated above, I mean no harm from my comments. I was just trying to clarify my standpoint (which did not attack him as an actor). Whether Godt and Bass decide to act together (BL or not) does not change my standpoint. It is their decision on whether they wish to take a BL project or not, it is in their jurisdiction on whether they want to provide fanservice in real life or not, and more intimate scenes within the script (aka in the movie/drama) is their responsibility to fulfill if they reviewed and accepted the role. However, I do strongly think that Godt will not act in BL again (which is not a problem since it's his decision).

I hope you didn't take my comment negatively because I meant no harm by it. Not to be blunt, but I could care less whether he decides to act in BL or not. It's his decision and if he's not contractually obligated (i.e. if there are multiple seasons and he signed in advance) then there shouldn't be any problems with it.

Also, regarding the fanservice. If it's in real life then I agree with you. It's their personal decision on whether they wish to provide it and play along. However, if it's a role they have received (i.e. his role in 2Moons), went over the script, saw all the times his role would have to provide fanservice, and still accepted the role then I believe that the actor would need to be professional. He had to have been comfortable to accept the role and the responsibility with it.

From my understanding, Godt (P'Pha) is not under the same agency as the rest. The remaining five go by SBFIVE and do a lot of promotional/touring together. They release songs like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LShweERy2cE as well.

But I don't think Godt will ever act in a BL again.

No, it is not. This has similar qualities to Age of Youth, but they're completely different. If you're looking for the Chinese remake of AoY then its Youth (https://kisskh.at/24642-youth).

That's exactly how I feel too about this drama - you hit right on the spot. Great analysis. To be honest, I did…
I'm glad I'm not the only person who felt this way. I also found the beginning to be cute and endearing for its simplistic qualities. If this drama was written as a slice-of-life/romantic comedy rather than the complicated Divine Maiden and legendary treasure then it would've been a lot more enjoyable. We also could've escaped the awful ending.

Review I Will Never Let You Go Spoiler
Only read the reply to this comment if you want the ending to be spoiled for you:
Everyone dies except for the female lead and a few supporting roles (the king and his consort). Nine roles were killed off within 15 minutes. There was an emotional scene where the male lead dies, but in the last few minutes of the episode he flies in and smiles at the female lead. He said something along the lines of "you're also the masked hero". That's it. So there's some confusion on whether she's hallucinating or if he's really alive. She has hallucinated him before which is why there's confusion.

I'm still on the fence on whether I believe he's alive or not and the director/writer did awful in providing any explanations. Which is a shame since viewers have spent so much time watching it. If you're going to try and provide a happy ending then cement it. Don't superficially throw the scene in within in the last few minutes and be like "there, take it as you will". Happy ending or not, this was a disappointment.

I also feel cheated by the deaths of the supporting cast. It's such a cop-out because it was the easiest way for the director/writer to end the story. They didn't want to spend the effort or budget to provide a reasonable ending for the supporting roles. Then again they barely did it for the main couple.
