People keep dropping and rating the drama because they pre-judge the characters way too early and jump to conclusions.…

I feel like producers nowdays are focusing in quantity and not quality when it comes to movies and tv series and that leads to disappointing and unoriginal stories . Unfortunaly the movie/tv show market is not really trying to make a story that resides with us, they just want to copy things that worked before and make big bucks out of it.

@humanencounter Thank you for making a very valid point! While a lot os Asian can be just as tanned, if not more tanned, it still can be considered blackface, just notice his IG pictures, and you will see that his skin is not as dark as in the drama(and he also likes to look a little bit lighter in the pictures he posts), also he never looked this "tanned" in any other drama, and it definitely would be odd to only one person in the cast to be wearing his "natural color" while the other celebs use makeup and filters to make their skin milky white (I am pretty sure there are at least one other person in the drama with a more tanned complex than the one represented by the industry).

@Kate Thank you for explaining to me! While I do not see a big deal on that part(as in my country the age of consent is 18), I was more explaining it for people who decide to watch this drama and so they can be aware of this before watching, because you never know if that can trigger or not a person.

@rosalily I'm not telling you to apologize, I'm explaining the downside to the drama, and how the show affects society and also demonstrates a part of the society we live in(because yes the media you watch is a considerable influence in your personality), you can do what you want with that information
Also, I'm not brainwashed I'm just listening to what black people are saying about the drama because the truth is I'm not a black person, and I will never know how it feels to be discriminated and killed because of my skin color, and that is why I have to listen to them, and a lot of black people that I'm friends with said they were upset and disappointed so I'm gonna listen to them.

Pedophile parts(as seen in the first episode): Jung Saet-byul in Backstreet Rookie is 17/19 years old (every place I look show a different age) at the beginning of the show, and kisses Choi Dae-hyun (unconsented) while she's still 19 and in high school. Also, in Backstreet Rookie, the underaged-year-old is sexualized and given the role of luring an older man into her "trap". Also, the drama is supposedly based in a really disgusting webtoon (Convenience Store Saet-byul written by Hwalhwasan and illustrated by Geumsagong)
