It depends! If you like stories that focus only on the main characters you will probably enjoy it but if you like watching shows where the side characters are well developed than this is not your drama

Sometimes I wish Ye Yun would end up with Yu Qiao but honestly she deserves SO MUCH more! She deserves somebody that doesnt' make her the 2nd choice, somebody that cherish her just like her father does<3

I agree with you but I also feel like this is a case for the father and son too. Like I understand the parents, brother and Qing Yu are all victims of a patriarcal society but Qing Yu is the only one that's brave enough to fight it and honestly is disappointing but not suprising (actually is quite realistic to real life).

Why do they want to blame Qingyu for every misfortune? Because she's a girl and the family (and society in general) cannot fathom that a man is on the wrong afterall the sun shines out of every men asshole

The only one in that family who has courage and morals is the main lead. Her father is a terrible and weak man, her brother is a coward and her mom is a disappointment

Jinrui's adopted but that doesn't make him less of their child. But I agree with you when you say the family is on the wrong and they are toxic.

The first 2 episodes reminds me so much of The Time of Fever (it's one of my favorite series)!!
