Yes, thank you, I found it and heard it in ep 4 too. I guess the remaining two are just Changxi's solo songs from what I gather (?)

Regardless, I think my favourite song from the OST is actually a theme song for the second couple that didn't even appear yet šŸ˜… It has this old rock ballad vibe to it.
I do find myself humming all four though.
Oh and btw, both Changxi and Yanzhou *can actually* sing pretty well.

So, just out of curiosity if there's anyone in here who speaks Cantonese or is good at lip-reading or sth ;)
In the trailer for ep 4 Matthew Han *is* actually speaking Cantonese, isn't he?

I honestly felt like Taiwanese BLs are a lost cause, but this one right here is a good contender to change my mind, or so it seems...
Just the first few minutes made me think the editing is so well-though-out and when I saw those long single shots I actually had to go and check who's behind it. And whaddya know! It's directed by Ray Jiang (the same guy who did My Tooth, Your Love; Unknown and WBL).
If nothing else, at the very least we can rest assured that in terms of cinematography we'll get the best Taiwanese BLs can offer.

What are the additional three songs? The OST I found on Spotify has only 6 songs (or actually 4, since two of them simply have two versions: Cantonese and Mandarin).

As someone with a proper myopia, I can share my lived experience ;)
The only rigid pattern I follow is to wear my glasses when I drive. Every other situation it's case by case and strictly based on my moods and whims. Sometimes I find putting on glasses so much of a hassle, I just go out without them (especially if it's a quick trip to a nearby store or to throw away the garbage etc.). So yeah, I don't find Chusan's inconsistency that bothering personally.

That... doesn't really sound as a reason for celebration. So they basically indirectly admitted that the first season is not the entire story? I'm having The On1y One flashbacks.

I guess I can only hope that whatever chunk of the story the drama makers decided to cover, it can work as a standalone story without a cliffhangery ending (I haven't read the novel so I'm fine with anything, as long as it looks cohesive and conclusive...)

Can anyone recommend similar to this drama mafia type bl
I saw people mention Kiseki a lot, but... personally I'd rather recommend these:

KinnPorsche (probably the closest to what I'd call "gangster" vibe; it can get violent and dark)
History3: Trapped (not that dark, a bit far-fetched, but somewhat revolutionary when it came out + very healthy couple dynamics)

Unknown had a pretty decent gangster plot

Dubbing does bother people. I personally hate it always, even if better done than here.
I mean I get that. I'd lie if I said I'm not to some extent distracted by it. And similar to you, I actually dislike dubbing in general (it took me a while to get used to all those cdramas being dubbed e.g.). Here it is admittedly even worse, since every time I see He Yan Chao move his mouth, it's clear to me the man is *not* speaking Cantonese šŸ˜…
Still, everything else has been real good so far and... I stand by everything else I wrote already ;)

Welcome to MDL, where the formulaic trophy dramas with subpar acting surge to close-to-9 ratings and an actual original story with good performances from the actors (nevermind the dubbing, yes, it is terrible, we all know ;)) and high quality production has a below-8 rating after just two episodes šŸ™„

I'm just on episode 4, but I happen to think that the rich lady who bullied the princess was far from what I'd call "a good woman".

I loved Had I Not Seen The Sun, but to be fair I did approach it without any expectations at all.
I'm only one episode in of Some Day or One Day and so far I'm liking it a lot (not more than Had I Not Seen the Sun though).

I mean I'm fine with the delay, I just wished we had more content like teasers, pictures, other cast info etc

If you're ok with something more melodrama, go watch More Than Blue Taiwanese version (series, not a movie). It's also a drama that kinda breaks your heart, but at the same time feels heart warming.

The decision to cancel the documentary was made before she took her own life tho. I think the writer wants to…
I didn't try to claim you should feel or think the same way as I do. Quite the contrary, my entire point was that not everyone would feel the same ;)

To what you said about Hsiao Tung wanting justice: sure. When the people who hurt her were still alive and well. At the end of the drama the perpetrators were dead, unable to hurt her or others anymore. Half of them exposed for the scumbags they were.

Are you 100 percent sure that Hsiao Tung, the same one who couldn't speak about what happened to her in front of the camera and reverted to being Pin Yu when her boss was about to film her "testimony", would want everything brought to light again? And let's be realistic, it would've been a huge story in the media considering everyone involved. And her family would be affected again. She herself could be blamed for being romantically involved with a serial killer, too...

And btw I am not trying to convince you of my opinion. And in fact I myself don't know which way would be better. Revealing the entire truth feels right. But is it worth it, is considering the repercussions and when every villain already got their punishment one way or another?

IMO her parents are to blame for everything. They accepted to be paid off instead of supporting their child and…
You oversimplify it. They were not "paid off". The mother made this decision, because she was scared her daughter would get hurt further by the court proceedings, the media frenzy and everything else connected. Plus, their family was all alone against how many? 5? 6 families? Some of them rich and powerful. She heard the arguments that the culprits would probably get a slap on a wrist type of a punishment anyway, but her daughter would have to relive her trauma (just as she already did once during the medical exam).
Having said that, I think the mother made a mistake. At the very least she shouldn't have made such a huge decision for Hsiao Tung. Without even consulting her at that
But saying they were paid off is ignoring all the nuance of the situation.
HT's parents were simple folks. They were not law-savvy or good at plotting and strategizing. They were faced with a crushing tragedy and handled it poorly. For which they suffered for years that followed (together with their daughter).

The decision to cancel the documentary was made before she took her own life tho. I think the writer wants to…
What makes you think the series was intended to give a lesson? Not every art is about preaching. Thought-provoking, sure, but not necessarily preaching. The very fact that ML is a serial killer shows that there's a certain degree of greyness to the characters and their actions (I would argue that most of actions) are often far from perfect.

Also, to your point. You think she "deserves" justice - but what if she doesn't want it? What if she wouldn't want to be remembered as the girl who got violated by her classmates? What if releasing everything would put her parents under media scrutiny, tabloids following them etc., making it even harder for them to mourn her death? What if they became a target of the families of those who were killed by Jen Yao? Some of them were rich and influential, mind you.

The worst three of them were exposed, be it for something else, but still. Plus, it's not the type of a situation that revealing the truth would protect their future victims, bcs they're no longer alive and thus are unable to hurt anyone else.
I think if you were looking for a "lesson" in this drama, one could be that no choice is 100 percent guaranteed to be correct.

Freshly after having watched Had I Not Seen The Sun, I am seriously contemplating checking out this one. I'm a bit scared that it won't live up to my expectations (which are pretty high at the moment considering it's from the same creators...).

I felt the scene that starts at the end of 5 and the beginning of ep. 6, especially with the glass shattering…
I don't think so. Earlier on in the second season, when JY finds out she's Hsiao Tung and talks to her parents, they kinda explain it in clear enough terms what happened to her. They say sth along the lines that she decided to live her life as a different person from now on and not remember what happened to her (or sth like that, I dont remember the details, but I remember it was really in layman's terms, no talk abt Dissociate Personality Disorder, Multiple Personalities or sth like that). While they don't mention Pin Yu yet, cause she doesn't exist at that time or Chi Chi who's almost always hidden inside Hsiao Tung's head, I think the audience can understand what's happening drawing comparisons and anologies.

It's sad you couldn't appreciate this story but everyone views things differently. Luckily the overall opinion…
8.4 is a good rating on MDL though? From my observations, Taiwanese (and Japanese) dramas usually don't have a huge fan following like e.g. kdramas. The rating's are usually lower pretty much as a default (unless it's a BL).
