It's a chinese drama. I think the kissing scenes are more frequent and explicit than most other c-dramas I watched.
Oh, sorry. I thought you meant Eternal Love: TMOPB. I haven't watched that one, although some friends have recommended. Maybe i'll watch it after PB is over :D

Of course I watched TMOPB and the kissing scenes are no better. I like the one when YH kisses BQ against the wall, but he stops after he sees the cut in her chest. YH and BQ kiss even less often than DH and FJ. Which is a pity. I wanted them to kiss passionately after they are reunited in the final episode...
Has someone seen the trailer for ep 46. The chills!!!! I can't wait to watch that scene in the SPA. It seems that DH and FJ finally seal the deal... and she knows it is him!
Just forget that story, the drama made that story because they don't have the copyright before. The real DH doesn't…
Yes, I also came to know and love DH thanks to TMOPB. However I must say that I like his true personality in the book and in this drama much better. In TM he is too two-dimensional, which is fine for a second lead but not for a main character. I think DH is a unique character, very different to most male leads. And actually, I think the same about FJ. Her personality in TM is very stereotypical, but once you get to know her character if the book, she is a very strong female character and very unique too. I believe they are super well suited to one another. They are two poles of the same magnet that complement each other, challenge each other and, ultimately, are there for each other til the very end.

DH doesn't remember the mortal realm. To be fair, they changed the way they met a little in the drama. In the book, FJ kicks a plant pot to DH's head by mistake. Everybody is looking at her and she lies very skillfully and blames her friend. That is the moment when DH notices her for the first time. I think he is attracted to her shamelessness and thick-skin, qualities she shares with him. He starts paying attention to her from then on, so he realizes that instead of being attracted to him like everybody else, FJ doesn't like him, she does everything in her power to avoid him and is not interested at all in getting to know him. This awakens his curiosity. The rest, as they say, is history.
Here is the scene:
She kicked too hard on the last try and sent the hapless flowerpot flying across the dancers on stage, heading straight for the same Donghua Dijun who hadn't gotten around to leave. The immortals exclaimed as the flowerpot stopped three inches short from Donghua's forehead. {...} Collectively, everyone’s gaze followed in the same direction. The ruckus-causing culprit froze for a moment before nearly instantaneously turning around to a male immortal in sand-colored clothing standing beside her. She asked in a genuine yet solemn voice: “Migu, why are you such a trouble-maker? How can you kick a pot at someone’s head like that?”
Remember that DH didn't have any parents. He never knew the love of a mother growing up. Sometimes, he acts a bit like a spoiled child... maybe because no one ever was there to put some limits to his behavior... but in other ways, he is like an orphan child starved for affection. FJ and he balance each other very well...
The problem is that they are both too thick and misunderstand each other far too often, because they are both spoiled and aren't used to give honest explanations. But hopefully they both learn their lesson...

This DH does whatever he wants. He will love if he wants to. He's awesome. This is a quote from the book, just when he realized he loves FJ.
Propping his chin on his palm, he suddenly felt that if he must pick a queen, Fengjiu wasn't a bad choice. He froze for a moment when this idea came to him. Then he gave it careful consideration. No, it couldn't be said that she was not bad. Rather, it must be said that in this whole world, she was the only suitable one. In other words, she was the only one he could ever like.

“So what if Destiny says we're fated, and so what if it says we're not?” Donghua coldly replied. “I've never feared Destiny, and I certainly don't need its charity.”
ok this couple is so freaking cute. i am literally obsessed. the characters have great chemistry and so do the…
That was beautifully put. You are right. They are both eccentric. They do what they want, however they want it. They have different ways to go about it, though. Like DH said, FJ talks more than he does. He has enough authority with everyone that no one dares to question him (no one but FJ, that is). She, on the other hand, uses words to persuade people to her way of thinking, and if that doesn't work, then she uses lies... if it doesn't work, she uses her sword... if that fails too, she uses her cuteness... and finally, if nothing else works, she uses her tears. She's a master manipulator XD
So parts of Aranya's dream was too complex for me to understand just by reading it. Watching it play out is helping…
1 ) the events happened in the real world, after FJ leaves TC palace and before she goes to the mortal world. Someone told FJ they had found a way to repay the favor she owned DH. She had to send a shadow of herself to FV, where hopefully it would help DH’s shadow. However Aranya’s teacher ruined that plan and Arantxa died without giving DH’s shadow what he wanted most. So that person returned (thirty years later, after Aranya died) and told FJ Their plan had failed. So FJ went to the mortal realm to repay her debt there Instead. Her perseverance and self sacrifice impressed fate, so she and DH were given a slight chance to be together. 2) DH’ shadow created AD. Her soul had been destroyed so he created the dream as a way to restore it and bringing her back to life. However since she was a shadow, it did not work 2)
It's basically a retelling of the same story until they go to the mortal world. Things become different there and then the drama follows a very different story-line. I like it better than TM
The ratings dropped within 2 days, I'm planning to start watching this today . Is this worth watching?
Have you watched TMOPB? If you have watched that drama, then the beginning of this one is a bit weak, because it's basically a retelling of the other one up to the mortal realm arch, episode 21. If you have not watched TMOPB, then watch it from the beginning. If you have watched TMOPB, you should watch episodes 1-4 and skip to 19. However the plot and the story gets better and better with every episode. Most dramas get boring in the second and third arch, this one is the opposite. The story line is very strong and the leads' chemistry is amazing. Anyway, it has already 3 billion views in China and a rating of 9.3/10 - 1,535 votes in viki. Here the ranting is lower but less people have voted, only 299.
