Title Rattan
I'm a huge fan of Bin Bin but I dropped this drama ages ago after episode 3 or 4. IMO the MLs lacked chemistry and the plot was just meh. Do things get better after a while? Should I give it another chance?

Just finished my second re-watching of this series, what am I going to do now?

Li Change is such a strong and intelligent female character. She also experiences a lot of growth along the series... She starts out a bit childish and impulsive, but along her journey she becomes more reserved and less hot-headed and she learns to put the common good of her people about her personal desires.

Ashile Sun is the PERFECT male character. He is strong and clever, but he doesn't feel intimidated when his girl outsmarts him. He values and respects her both as a warrior and as a woman. He chooses peace over revenge time and time again. He allows her freedom to make her own choices. He doesn't try to control her but supports her all the way and of course he is head over heels for her.

Reba was one of my favorite Chinese actresses and she's the reason I started to watch this. I shipped her with Vengo Gao and BinBin in many dramas, but Leo Wu was a complete new discovery for me. I didn't pay much attention to him in NIF, but now he has climbed to my top3 favorite Chinese actors. His acting skills are excellent, and let's be honest, that scene he takes off his t-shirt? What a delight for our eyes.

I love the two characters separately and I love them as a couple. I could totally feel their deep devotion, respect, trust and love for each other. Perhaps I'd have liked to see a bit more passion between them, but considering CG had to live through one traumatic moment after another, it's not wonder that's not where her head escape was during the drama.

She reminds me a little of Katniss in The Hunger Games. She was traumatized, focused on surviving, and had to wait after the war was over to sort out her feelings. CH is also like that. Now that they had finally earned peace, they'll have many moments to enjoy the grasslands, never far away from each other... and slowly CH can heal from the wounds of the past. Passion will naturally arise after that. With a man like AS next to her, how could it now?

I read your post and I love it, but honestly, after watching the whole drama, I don't understand how there are people out there who still doubt they are married and happy together LOL

To those who didn't read the manhua before watching TLB or have prior knowledge to their characters' age when…
CG was very impulsive and playful at first, a bit ignorant of politics, and of course she was of marriage age. I put her in the late teens category, maybe 17-19. AS was more focused, he had plenty of experience in battle and was the leader of his own battalion, so I thought he was in his early to mid twenties, maybe 22-15.

Li Chang Ge endured an Arrow to her chest twice but couldn't endure her Menstrual Cycleshe needed the lead to…
I've never been hit by an arrow, but my period is one of the most painful experiences I've suffered in my life, if not the most. It doesn't happen every month, sometimes I have "good periods" but when it does, it feels as if my insides are been crushed by an electric mixer. I cry in pain, I cry literally, I shout, I bite my hand... and it doesn't get better. Last time I took 2 naproxen pills, which is as good as a narcotic painkiller, and it didn't help at all. I still wanted to die to stop the pain, that's how bad it can get for some women. So for me, seeing such a strong female warrior incapacitated by her biology felt like one of the most realistic scenes in the drama.

Oh yes...most definitelyIt gets addicting after a while...but you'll have to plough through the first few episodes...atleast…
It was the same for me, but after the first handful of episodes, YKN really came to life while XT's story line became a bit static. Right now it's going a bit slow for both of them, although that's to be expected for such a long drama like this.

As I am reading so many comments here saying "this is bad", "this is toxic" bla bla bla, I wanna say that yes…
I didn't like this season at all. I found it bland and boring with a pointless story-line and lines so cheesy that instead of romantic came across as hilarious.
However, it really pisses me off how people love to scream "toxic" as often as they can, these days, I've even come to hate the word, so I applaud you for your comment.
Every famous epic romance in books, movies and television displays some "toxic" elements, because otherwise is plain boring. Elizabeth and Darzy, Romeo and Juliet, Elena y Paris, Cinderella and her prince, Buffy and Angel, Elena and Damon, Anakin and Padme. So what?
First, people are not perfect. A couple can display toxic behaviors at times and get over it -- through therapy or other means. Second. Literature does not need to emulate real life. I watch movies or read books to escape reality for a little while, as a way of evasion, to enter a fantasy world where true love is powerful tool and dragons can be born out of human sacrifice.
I dont need a fictional role morel to teach me how to live my life or how to behave when I'm in a relationship. I can figure that out fine on my own. People should me smart enough and reasonable enough to create a good moral code by themselves. And if they are not, maybe the issue is on them. So I wish they would stop shouting "toxic" at ever turn and allow us to enjoy our dramas in peace.

What a relentlessness!!! After seeing all the bad ratings, I was expecting a remake of "TWM: Next Chapter" at…
I much rather watch TWM: the next chapter than this. At least there the characters were written as flawed youngsters trying to deal with adulthood. The storyline might have been painful but it reflected three real issues that are commonly found in real life: dissatisfaction with one's job, infidelity and intolerable parents.

Here, Type's issues at work was the only thing that made sense. Tharn's personality and strength was completely erased. They were so cheesy that I wanted to laugh at the screen 'cos there is no way two adults in their mid 20s would behave like that. Their lines and behavior seemed to have been written by teenager fan-girs. There was no consistent plot, not journey, no anything.

It was so boring that I had to drop after a few eps which sucks, because I love the actors and season 1 is in my Top 5 all time favorites.

Just googled it. Wow, Gulf really did shave his head for the monk scenes. Very admirable commitment to the story…
I dropped this series in ep 4 or 5, I dont remember. I have re watched season 1 many times and even I read the book, even though the translation was rather poor, but this season was like a bad boy love parody with cartoonist characters written by teenager fan-girls.

However reading your reviews it seems that the drama improves from ep 11. As someone who loves season1 and it's critical of this season, would you recommend that I watch from ep 11?

Thank you!!!

Hi. Can someone please tell me what the “MaxTul extended Journey” is?
When you say goodbye, do you think there is no chance they will star in another b-l drama together again? I know Tul wanted to do a Masters' in Columbia and his contract was coming to an end... but I had hopes that after a couple of years abroad once he's back in Thailand he might co-star another drama with Max.

i'm binging and on ep 6 now, and yeah have to say (even though the start was a bit slow for me cause not interested…
I just finished ep 14 and the drama is holding up. Some episodes are a bit slower but in such a long drama we can forgive that. The story-line is compelling and the character development is getting better and better.
I actually like the female ping pong player they might pair him with. She's a no-nonsense kind of girl and I think they balance each other out.
WaToL was bad. However I think this drama will become very popular in China, since it's a sports drama which attracts both a male and a female audience and it also has a nationalistic vibe to it which is compelling to the Chinese public in general

Title Ping Pong Life Spoiler
It looks like there will be some potential romance between Yu Ke Nan and the female ping pong player. I like her, she has a good head over his shoulders. His ego is huge but somehow she brings him back to Earth. Plus, he clearly respects her, and that's saying something. I think they will make a very cute couple.
On the other hand I don't like the other female lead at all. I find her so boring, I usually fast-forward the scenes she is in.
