Love Like a K-Drama – Bittersweet and Real
Last night, I started Love Like a K-Drama and just finished it. What I’m left with now is… disappointment. My favorite was Nozomi, so if you’ve watched the ending, you can probably guess why I feel even more let down.
Ji Hyuk ended up being my favorite male lead, while Won Shik used to be my number one. But after the final episode, I honestly can’t understand him anymore. He did all that… for nothing?? At the very least, he could’ve chosen to go alone. That would've been the most honest ending for himself, and maybe even for everyone else.
The other couples didn’t feel right either. Dong Yu gave minimal effort the entire time. The least he could’ve done was be more respectful and collegial. Taegyun was awkward and strange, but at least I found him funny.
As for the girls, they were definitely more grounded, but even then, I couldn't always understand their choices.
Still, despite the ending, I truly felt the emotional journey of each character. It was a real roller coaster, and I enjoyed watching it as an experiment and experience. It felt real, even if not ideal.
So if you’re in the mood for something bittersweet, something that lingers and makes you feel, then give Love Like a K-Drama a try. That word bittersweet sums it up perfectly.
