Has a lot of potential. The ending is rush and kinda dog blooded in the end with killing everyone off. Could have been a lot better if our leads XRN and YM have more scenes showing them getting together instead of just confirming their feelings. I get that jealous second female lead is needed to get the story going, but director didnt give Shen Zhen the retribution she deserves.

Really like Jin Dong's acting. I hope the script is good. I like the female actress in See You Again, so I hope her character here is not too weak. Looking forward to it.

I finished watching this in 3 days. I love the acting from the actors especially Jin Dong and Ma Yi Li. The ending is so open-ended that I feel like main characters He Han, Zi Jun and Tang Jing don't really get a closure. Even though there are 42 episodes, I still enjoy the stories of side characters unlike other dramas where directors drag certain supporting character roles just to prolong the episodes. I am disappointed in the ending bcoz it could have been better. After watching so many idol dramas, watching this kind of family drama with good acting makes me realize how good these actors are in portraying and creating their characters.

Haha agree, It makes me question how did He Han and Zi Jun fall for each other. I mean I get that He Han starts to unknowingly care more for Zi Jun in the name of friend but with his character, he would never go out of his way like the way he does with ZJ. Director needs to convince the viewers with more interactions between them. I am just gonna assume director wants us to feel a mature romance where you don't speak up your mind but your eyes speak for themselves. I really enjoy this drama regardless.

I love the chemistry between the leads. Ke Huan and Wei Wei chemistry is off the chart. Wei Wei is unconsciously getting attracted to KH, Ep 3 is gonna be on fire. The sexual tension when they are together is too much. It sucks that this is only airing once a week. Only 13 eps but needs to air over 3 months...at least the eps are over 1 hour long.

For Best Bromance, my vote goes to Guardian. ZhuYiLong and BaiYu literally acted the characters from the novel to life. Last year was quite amazing for cdramas coz out of 3 popular dramas, i finished both AofL and Guardian and really love them both.

I love the novel. This will be such a fluffy and romantic idol drama. I have high hope that this will air soon since Yang Zi becomes so popular as Jin Mi in HSALF. Please hurry up and finish post-production and let this drama air soon!

Agree. I watched ep 57 and i only watched 5 mins out of 45 mins episode. I have been skipping around too much that i only need to watch the clips posted on weibo of OTP scenes and I won't miss out on anything. Unlike Feng Jiu and Dong Hua Di Jun in 3L3W, Demon Princess story line doesn't have any significance to the overall story. As much as I am very heavily invested in HSALF, it's all bcoz of Deng Lun and Yang Zi. I am ignoring the rest for DLxYZ chemistry. No wonder the drama has 63 eps when I am skipping so much of Demon princess and Night extra scenes when the original script has 43 eps only. It's a torture since I am watching while the drama is still on-going. I would have waited for it to finish airing first but this novel is my favorite and I already love DL and YZ before this drama.

I agree with novel fans too. For the first 30 ep which is until JM and XF come back to heaven after the trial, the drama follows the novel closely and the changes made were for better. Now writer made XF a love sick bird when he is supposed to be a war of god. They cut off the interactions between JM and XF when JM is mourning for water god death. Hashtag for drama is now trending on weibo again with fans calling out the bs with another change in drama during the wedding scenes. Word of mouth was really positive in the beginning and thus the consistent online, TV views, and quite good Douban rating.
Now, Screenwriter and production team behind all this mess deserves this backlash. How are they going to tell all the important scenes with 15 eps left. Adding unnecessary side line characters only to downgrade the overall story development of main OTP.

I don't like Sui He either, but drama will probably makes more dramatic than the novel. I am kinda looking forward to seeing JM getting jealous. :) She's so oblivious and funny right now when Moon God said he likes XF so she just tells him to just get together with him instead. She can't really differentiate.

I like the trail JM and XF went thru in the drama too. I don't mind the tragedy scene coming up, I am actually waiting for that angst. After that JM will have her emotional distress since she's back to normal. More heart wrenching scenes ahead.

I am anticipating so much for this and it did not disappoint. The changes made in the drama do not derail from the novel and still very enjoyable. I don’t think the pacing of the drama is slow and I don’t mind having 60eps coz Yang Zi and Deng Lun are very cute together. If you are a fan of xianxia with heaven, hell, mortal realm, demon, god, goddess with a tint of angst and romance, this drama is for you.

In the novel, JM didn't actually agree to marrying XF. She doesn't acknowledge that she likes XF but in drama version, JM wants to cancel the engagement with RY. Am I right? I read the novel but don't remember completely. We will probably have that turning point of JM coughing out unfeeling pill around 40ish eps.

I am freaking excited for this drama adaption. Filming has wrapped up today and a new bts/trailer is released. I hope this won't stay in post-production too long and get a time slot to air soon. Be it online or on TV, I am looking forward to it.

yup, i did. They are cute. My heart will break for phoenix when JM is oblivious to her feelings in the beginning. But those scenes will be funny to watch if they follow the novel closely.

I like this story, it has a lot of mystery to unveil. I am shipping JEH more with Announcer Kang than Doctor Han. I think Announcer Kang has more chemistry with her. I should have waited a bit longer for more eps. Now it's a waiting game again.

The cinematography, setting and CG are totally stunning. It's gonna be fun to have another drama filled with angst and heart-wrenching story line. Yang Zi and Deung Lun have great on-screen chemistry. Now i can only hope the plot is not too draggy and the pace is great enough to keep viewers engaged for 60 eps.

I am enjoying Qin Jun Jie as Ou Chen. His acting is so good. I like him even better than Peter Ho's Ou Chen. Also, Sophie Zhang is doing a great job as well. Kind iffy about the actor playing Luo Xi. He doesn't have that mysterious top star aura Huang Xiao Ming has.

Never thought I would actually fall so hard for this drama. It's sad that we couldn't get to see season 2 anymore. The two leads have so much chemistry. Best BL ever.
