Oh ok i didn't realize that, i'm American and it isn't like that here so i didn't know it was a common thing. There may be some parents here that are like that but for the most part at least the ones i know it isn't like that. It makes more sense now if it is a common thing.

Does anyone know if there is a director's cut or if there will be a second movie?

I always thought that Shi De said he only wanted to be friends with Shu Yi because for one reason he was going to be leaving after graduation to go to America, and for another reason he thought that Shu Yi didn't or wouldn't like him because Shu Yi had always said that he hated Shi De. And i felt that him not being able to accept Shu Yi's feelings at first and saying that he couldn't believe that Shu Yi actually liked him was again because before they became friends Shu Yi had always said he hated Shi De and he also told Shi De that he wanted a girlfriend and that he didn't date guys. I think Shi De is the only guy Shu Yi has ever liked. If i were Shi De and he had told me that he didn't like or date guys then i would also question it if he suddenly said he had feelings for me. But that's just the way i saw it, i could be completely wrong and you could be right. I heard though that they have a happy ending i hope that is true. I guess we will start getting answers and figuring it all out on March 5th and i can't wait!!!

I feel like they had that scene with him and Jinhwan so that Jinhwan could tell Heon what had happened to Sol-i, so i'm actually glad they had that part in there because Heon knowing what she went through could help him understand how she felt that day and why she reacted the way she did. I just wish it had been Sol-i and Heon having that talk like in the original, because Sol-i still doesn't know what Heon went through that day.

I don't want Shi De to turn out to be a bad guy, i really hope he doesn't. From everything i've heard and seen apparently they have a happy ending, so whatever it is they must work it out.

I don't agree with that theory, to me it doesn't make any sense to say that Shu Yi being part of Shi De's life was never part of the plan. If that was true then why did Shi De do everything he could to get into Shu Yi's life, he is the one who blackmailed Shu Yi with that video to be his page boy and be his friend. If he didn't want Shu Yi to be part of his life then why would he do that. And also he told Shu Yi that one day his mom would be Shu Yi's mom meaning he wanted them to get married and he said he had been thinking about it for years. Does that really sound like someone who doesn't have Shu Yi in his plans? And i also don't think that Shu Yi forgot Shi De either, because if you look at the poster/picture up above for season 2 ( you can click on the picture and make it bigger to see it better) but in the picture Shu Yi is still wearing the bracelet that Shi De gave him. If he had forgotten Shi De would he still be wearing it? I wouldn't think so, to me him still wearing it indicates that he still loves Shi De or at least still has some feelings for him. I think something else had to have happened i'm not sure what but i'm having a hard time believing this theory.

It's already up to episode 29, they are not in a relationship but he already knows she lied. He found out about her lying in either episode 16 or 17 and confronted her in episode 21.

I thought personally the dad was a little weird though, because when he found out that Shu Yi was staying at friends house he did ask why he wasn't informed. Honestly what parent of an adult would ask that? Shu Yi is an adult who shouldn't have to inform his father of what he is doing so i found that a little odd. As soon as i turned 18 my parents no longer asked what i was doing or where i was going and they didn't expect me to inform, if i wanted to inform them i would if not i didn't and they were fine with it. As long as i checked in every couple or few days to let them know i was ok they didn't question me about my life they said it was up to me if i wanted to tell them or not. So to me i just think any parent who expects to be informed of what their adult child or children is doing is too controlling. Not saying that he had anything to do with what happened with Shu Yi and Shi De, that was just a little odd for him to make that comment so i'm not so sure about him. If he's that controlling and wants to know what his son is doing then he could possibly be behind it, but that's just my thoughts and i could be wrong.

You are right i think he absolutely was going to talk to her about it but she found out before he had the chance. And i agree 3 years apart is a lot, i think they could have made it work also if they had just communicated better. And now that you mention that about Heon not answering because he was hurt that she thought that i agree with that also. I also don't understand why she was so insecure about his feelings i know he never said his feelings, but he did lots of things to show that he did care and she should have been able to see it even if he didn't say it. It all comes down to not communicating properly. But am glad they do work it out and get back together just wish it wasn't almost the last episode when they do. But will be nice to see how they make up.

Yes!!! Oh my gosh i love this comment so much and i totally agree she is too stubborn and prideful and she is indeed childish and immature but i know she loves him so i didn't understand why she just let him go either and i love him i do he doesn't speak out his mind or his feelings though and they are both insecure and it boiled over. But even though it takes him a long time to tell his feelings i love how hard he tries to make up with her it shows how much he does love her and i understand your point also about why he left it's not that i think he was really wrong i just think that they should have worked it out before he left instead of leaving it for 3 years, but like you said he did reach out and try and she wouldn't talk to him so that was on her and what else could he do. I'm just glad they finally do work it out i just wish that she would put in a little more effort to work it out he puts in the most well pretty much all the effort. She should humble herself for sure. i love reading everyone's responses as well and learn things different perspectives, i admit that i was a little biased towards her and taking her side because of the assault but you and other's are right that wasn't the only time she has acted childish like that and she didn't even tell him what happened to her if she had i know he would have been there for her. It's nice to see other people's views on it.

I never said that she didn't do wrong i agree she should have handled it better absolutely, i agree with all of that she should have talked it out, and she shouldn't have moved and not told him she completely handled the whole thing wrong i agree with that. As far as i remember she only did that 3 times where she got mad and wouldn't talk to him and one time was because he called her a total loser i wouldn't have talked to him either he was being a jerk that time, and another time she saw him hug the other girl and her feelings were hurt and she got jealous but she should have talked to him he tried so hard to make up with her that time and she did indeed act childish. I just feel sympathy and kinda understand her mindset that night after her assault, that's all i'm saying i personally know someone who was sexually assaulted, what it does to a persons mind how it affects them and how long it takes them to get over it. I guess that's why i am more sympathetic to her, because i've seen that kinda situation first hand. And i have seen the chinese version, i'm not sure where you watched it at but i watched it on youtube. And i even went back and rewatched after seeing this comment on youtube episode 20 he is talking on the phone to one of the other doctors and the doctor says he was supposed to be gone for 4 years but came back in 3 so i don't know where you got that he came back in i and a half years. Unless the subtitles on youtube are wrong but you can go watch it yourself and see it clearly says on the English subtitles that he was supposed to be gone 4 years but came back in 3 years and i even went and checked and watched in on dramacool and it said the exact same thing that he was supposed to be gone 4 years but came back in 3 years not 1 and a half like you said. I don't know where you are getting 1 and a half years from everyone i have watched has said he came back in 3. You can go watch them and check them yourself on youtube and dramacool. If you have seen somewhere that it said he came back in 1 and a half years i would like to check that out. I'm not dissing his character by any means either i actually like him and her both i think they both lack good communication skills and that is what led to a lot of it and i do admit a lot of her problem is she is childish and immature without a doubt.

Yes i agree they should have been able to sit down and talk to each other and communicate properly after all the years they had known each other and the years they were dating and they still couldn't communicate properly. And yes i can understand Heon saying that because she is the only one for him and always will be and he is the only one for her too, she is just to being too stubborn right now to admit it. But i personally think it's partly because she is unsure of his real feelings because after he finally tells his real feelings and asks her to forgive him she does and they get back together. If they could have communicated better, maybe things wouldn't have ended up that way.

That scene is supposed to happen in the next episode but from the preview it shows him having the talk with Jinhwan not Daesung. I really hope they have that scene though it is the first time he really expresses his feelings for her it needs to be in there.
