"If someone chooses to act cute or playful, it falls under personal expression. However, if childlike behavior…
I'll say it again, it's a matter of preference. Some people enjoy this kind of dynamic, while others don’t. However just because a character acts cute in a romance doesn’t mean it automatically promotes something harmful.
"If someone chooses to act cute or playful, it falls under personal expression. However, if childlike behavior…
At the end of the day, it’s a matter of preference. Some people find her cute and charming while others don’t and that’s okay. However disliking her acting is different from labeling it as something harmful. It’s fine to prefer mature acting, but Esther’s choice to act this way doesn’t automatically make it wrong or dangerous.
"If someone chooses to act cute or playful, it falls under personal expression. However, if childlike behavior…
I agree that there are bad people in the world. But I don’t think the existence of those people should dictate how women choose to express themselves. Acting cute or playful is not something inherently harmful. Blaming the behavior rather than the people with problematic views shifts responsibility in the wrong direction.
"If someone chooses to act cute or playful, it falls under personal expression. However, if childlike behavior…
I understand that you feel strongly about this, but I don’t think Esther’s behavior is meant to promote anything inappropriate. Acting cute is a personal expression. People can choose whether or not to resonate with it, but equating it to something harmful feels like a stretch.
Someone here wanted constructive criticism. I will try to explain why many viewers do not like Esther's voice.…
"If someone chooses to act cute or playful, it falls under personal expression. However, if childlike behavior prevents someone from functioning as an independent adult, it leans toward infantilism."
By this definition, Esther leans more toward personal expression. Acting cute and speaking that way is a conscious choice for her, not a psychological issue.
I just think it's important to differentiate between personal choice and emotional immaturity.
Lol. So funny. Why use a new account? I dare you to come with an original account. Two-faced. Pretending to be…

This drama was Esther Yu's father's investment!!!No wonder Esther was cast as the lead female. What a joke. And…
Funny how in every drama where Esther Yu is the lead, people would always say the same thing 😂 Instead of reading baseless articles, watch the character highlights. The producer explained how they casted Esther. They saw her in Youth with You, interviewed her and noticed that her attitude and personality matched XLH so they decided to pick her.
No words can express how happy and proud I am with all the achievement and recognition this drama has achieved. A year ago, I was lurking here and many people were doubting Esther and Dylan. Some were thinking that they were miscasted as Dylan's performance in MTD was underwhelming and Esther was just a so-so actress who was only comfortable in doing bubbly and comedic roles. But boy, they proved everyone WRONG! They served and slapped us 10,000 times!
The comedy in the drama is so well-done and well-acted. They are both comedians fr 😂 And the angst is just.... I can't count how many times I cried in this drama. Esther didn't lie when she said that CLJ has a serious tone. They made me feel a lot of emotions 🤧 They should buy me a box of tissue cause I ran out of them while watching the last eps.
Dylan looks majestic in DFQC garb. How can a devil look so damn attractive in every angle?! His acting is immaculate ✨ Proving to everyone that DFQC is the STANDARD, love that for him! Yuezun please accept your humble servant 🛐
Esther as XLH is my goddaughter. Everytime I see someone downplaying her character or hating her voice, I have this urge to break their legs. She nailed this role. She acted so naturally, it seemed like XLH was crafted from her. In this house, I don't allow Shuxin slander 🙅
Linghe, the LOML ♥️ I'm just simply simping whenever he's on screen. I like him more as Xiao Run, the naive and smiley type suits him more than the stern war of god. He acted very well in both roles though. Linghe, next time, you'll get the girl 😂
A round of applause to the director, actors, scriptwriters, editors and everyone involved in creating this masterpiece. Thank you for giving us this precious gift. This drama will definitely stay in our hearts for a long time 💖 Till next time, I'll surely tune in to the next drama in the same clj universe. See y'all there 😗
I remember reading this novel a year ago. It's really good! The body swapping is hilarious. I'd like to see how Shuxin would portray a haughty demon king. For the male lead, acting like a sissy crybaby wouldn't be an easy feat 😂
The latter part of the novel made me bawl my eyes out. It is heart-wrenching but also heartwarming towards the end.
Many people are commenting about the leads. I've seen Shuxin in I've Fallen for You and I must say that she delivers pretty well in this genre. The role suits her as well.
For Dylan, I haven't seen him in historical/xianxia drama before. I haven't watched Miss the Dragon yet but I read the reviews, some of them are underwhelming. So I'm having second thoughts watching the drama.
I hope that the script of CLJ would be as good as the novel. The costumes look good and they also casted LYT as Si Ming! I'm really looking forward to this. 2022 please come faster!
This is my first cdrama for this year and I'm glad that this didn't disappoint me! Yuxi, in whatever role he's in, delivers and executes his character really well. Shuxin, I've seen her in some dramas. I remember watching I've Fallen for You, it's quite good. She has a good chemistry with her co-actors. My impression of her wasn't that great, I used to say that her acting is pretty decent but not stellar.
I thought this drama would be so-so but the dynamics of this couple really surprised me. I even renewed my iqiyi subscription for them 🤧
Yuxi, being my fave, would always be on my watchlist. Shuxin, I think she really improved, I'd definitely watch her next dramas as well.
