Am I the only one who is ok with the amount of screentime the trio have? I feel like they already explained everything…
yeah, i kind of agree. their story is not that deep; just your typical love triangle. but i don’t think it’s fair to the SLs because they’re really delivering on their roles, but still they don’t get screen time at all! they feel like supporting characters.
i never thought i'd say this but i cried and laughed every episode. the mother/daughter relationship was so heart-touching; all emotions were so beautifully portrayed. this is the first drama in which i liked every single character - they were all unique in their own rights, and my god, i don't even know anymore, this is such a gem. jin joo and ban do's love is so unbelievably pure, innocent and yet mature and realistic. i loved this drama down to the core, and i'm sure it will stay with me for a long, long time.
Another useless love traingle that makes no sense just to pad the run time ughhhh
well. there is only a love triangle between the SLs and not the MLs. and so far till episode 4, 90% of the screen time has belonged to MLs only; the SLs' story has not been unveiled yet.
Can we talk about the garden scene in episode 4? I don't see a single comment about it, which is a shame because I think it carries a lot of meaning. When Myeol Mang walks through the garden, the flowers wither away, but when Dong Kyung walks to meet him there, everything comes back to life. I thought that was such a beautiful scene; it means that Dong Kyung is the light of his world, that she brings colour and life to his world. Such a beautiful symbolism! And I don’t think Myeol Mang was expecting it to happen; he looked a bit confused and shocked, and let go of her hand when she held it because he couldn’t - and also didn’t - want to believe it.
lmaooo we neeeed steamy scenes. good thing is it's a tvn drama; they usually have more mature skinship scenes than you'd find in any other network drama, haha, so i'm expecting a lot
i can't with this drama. both FLs, LGY and OIH are such damsels in distress; one is always in need of saving and getting herself into embarrassing situations, while the other is always crying for some reason and acting like a pushover. i get that it's supposed to fun and silly, but come on, this dumb? and at the cost of the FLs? how convenient! that's so off-putting.
the first few episodes i didn't like the ML either but i'm slowly warming up to him, seeing that his character has potential for growth; i'm looking forward to his character development. but so far, he still is hung up on OIH. sigh.
the manager is likable. as for JJ and other characters, i just can't connect with them. i can handle all that, but i especially dislike the how the writer has written female characters.
I also like it very much, and the plot is not messy at all in my opinion, I can't wait to see what they will do…
i guess, messy is not the right term! i meant that the story is sort of crazy and unpredictable and complex—in a good way. i’m really loving it. those aspects are probably something i love the most, haha. kind of gives me romeo-juliet vibes!
i skipped all her scenes. also, the romance between jcw and her was so off, and also unnecessary. i wish him and the assemblyman's wife were endgame. they had better chemistry, ngl, lmao.
She looke strange and not exactly great compared to other ladies that are around but she must have a really great…
well, truthfully speaking, i don't find her as pretty as it is hyped. although, she's apparently one of the prettiest kpop idols/actresses by korean standards. but well, i won't judge her looks. it's just her acting that makes me wanna punch a wall. don't know much about her music career since i was never an SNSD stan, but well. also for some reason, none of those girls can act. i liked sooyoung in run on, though.
i guess, i might skip this one, too, despite the fact that lee jongsuk is one of my favourite actors, unless they replace yoona; she's a plain no for me.
Have you watched EXIT? I agree K2 wan't my cup of tea either but I find it partly to do with her character there.…
i agree. her character was awful in the k2 and she played it horrendously, too, which is a shame because the drama in itself wasn't that bad; it had so much potential. i might try watching Exit; i do wanna believe she's not that bad.
