honestly I really love this drama and am willing to wait an extra week for an episode as I've already waited years for this adaptation to release, BUT the way they're treating this drama is so disrespectful to everybody involved: webtoon author, cast, crew, audience, etc. I really hope that anyone who decides to not watch it on air, watches it when the episodes are complete cause the webtoon is amazing, this adaptation has been looking really good and so much hard work was put into it just for some idiots to not consider the airing schedule when they chose the slot for this drama. it almost seems like they're trying to sabotage it! 😤 I'll be a patient fan cheering from afar 🫰
the old woman seems like it's Ran-Joo in the future right?
oh yeah I see what youre saying, oof now it feels very creepy and ominous to have, cause if Ran-Joo IS the old lady, why is she telling the story and to who?
This show is now starting to stress me tf out. What do they keep showing that lake? And why did Bogeol lie to…
in the first episode when mok-ha wanted to borrow his phone, her and her friend referred to him as the new kid. so I'm guessing his dad took him to live over there while the mom was taking care of the brother in the hospital, cause they also said he was unconscious for a long time before waking up with memory loss
I LOVE your profile pic!! seasons of blossom is my favorite webtoon 😭 and more relevant to the actual comment,…
they did release it!! it's up on Viki for free with ads. i don't think it got too much attention cause I randomly searched for the drama to see if there was anything new about it being released and it had already finished. I haven't watched it yet cause I give priority to dramas that are on air (to avoid binging) but I'm really hoping its good !
I LOVE your profile pic!! seasons of blossom is my favorite webtoon 😭 and more relevant to the actual comment, I'm hoping they bring it out soon internationally too
I wonder how many episodes will she actually be a 'castaway' - the first episode? two? three?Kind of like "Love…
I'm thinking the first episode will be purely about her life before, how she became a castaway and then her getting rescued. but then throughout the show theyll reference different experiences she had while a castaway to keep it relevant. that's what i'd do in the writer's shoes
Lol am I the only one who loves this one episode per week schedule? There are so many good dramas coming out in…
Same! Ive actually avoided starting new dramas because so many that I've been waiting for our coming out (like doona and castaway diva, etc)! plus I wanna rewatch the first season of sweet home in preparation for S2 cause it's been a minute and I don't remember what was from the webtoon and what was from the drama .. 😵💫 glad to see someone else willing to continue supporting this drama!! 💙
is it a cliche kinda drama like king the land? is the story itself interesting?
Im probably biased as someone who loved the webtoon and has been waiting forever for this drama to come out but I'm still gonna answer and say no, it's not cliche like king the land. I think KTL was good, but felt too similar to business proposal for it to stand out as amazing. in general, good day has a much more unique premise and doesn't follow tropes so cleanly. I think if I hadn't read the webtoon id already be a bit surprised by the story in just the first two eps. and so far I'm really pleased with the casting and adaptation!
I totaly agree with you. I'm very surprised for all the hate for this drama. Although some plot lines can be a…
I agree a lot with this about the script! you said it better than I did! I also actually like romance, which is why I thought the last episode was sweet and one of the best ones, it was almost all about the healthy relationship they built. it actually pushed me to raise my rating from a 3 to 5 cause for me the script/story has the heaviest weight. the acting was really good, the production also great, but if the story sucks then it's hard to save it. not sure about the old vs new kdrama fans (from @10years), I started watching about 5 years ago with Age of Youth (or Hello My Twenties) and remember what got me hooked was how different it was from Western dramas which I liked usually but rarely ever loved
as someone who would tag this drama as boring, I would like to clarify that it wasnt because it was simple (and…
I definitely understand Makanai being boring for others haha I used it as my end of the day, feel-good and relax show. the music and filming really calmed me. the simplicity of it felt super intentional too, which is why I gave it a high rating :)
I've noticed that people often label simple and romantic dramas as "boring" these days. It's a bit sad how our…
as someone who would tag this drama as boring, I would like to clarify that it wasnt because it was simple (and I've seen others say similar comments to what I'm about to say). in fact, I thought the plot was rather chaotic and repetitive. I got bored because they opened too many storylines and really only followed one of them throughout the drama while the rest were on pause until they became relevant again like 8+ ep later. I think leaving mystery can be done well and I do enjoy it, but I didn't think it was well executed here. So for me personally, the drama had a lot of potential, it just didnt work. an example of a simple drama would be the Japanese drama The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House. probably as simple as it gets and I thoroughly enjoyed that one
I've been resisting watching cause i don't want it to end but I also wanna keep watching 😭 literally have rewatched some episodes immediately after it ended and pretended I didn't just see everything 😂
I have a few episodes left of this one (I love it so much I don't wanna finish it!), but I did watch hidden love and I would say they have a similar style but plot wise they're pretty different. the biggest difference being that hidden love was all romance and when I fly towards you does romance and friendship. both dramas make me feel similar feelings though, so if you liked hidden love I would recommend this one!
I don't think so cause he lost the prize money by doing that, and they even show how he was gonna play his move…
yeah, honestly after seeing everyone's reaction to what happened (like the other players that weren't there) I was more convinced that it wasnt just a happy accident. it didn't really make sense to me how he mixed up the turns so bad (??) but I was like no way he'd lose the prize money just for that. it seems it was intentional and I stand corrected
