Title Love Alarm
I found the critic very harsh. Most of the reasons aren’t wrong (subjectively speaking) but it was a major kdrama a lot of people have watched and watched until the end on both sides… internationally and among koreans. Not all kdramas have a said “disappointed audience” watching until the end. If you keep going there is definitely something going on… entertainment is sometimes enough of a reason !
On Romance Is a Bonus Book May 22, 2024
It is my own opinion and it seems to be quite a minor opinion if we look at the global critic but I think it is very underrated. It is flat yes but flat doesn’t mean boring. The end might be disappointing but pretty much like a lot of romantic dramas. And the end to me doesn’t matter because that is not the message or the directing approach or storytelling the director wanted to tell (I think). There are beautiful quotes. tenderness, a lot of love sent to the viewers and you can identify yourself to a lot of situations… one sided-love, loving someone the society says you shouldn’t, loving someone for a long time and not saying it and so on, being in a relationship with no spark… and the letter (you know which one I am talking about) is like a big hug, for me and all the people who felt “why don’t you love me while I have so much to offer to you!” “what do they have which I don’t have ?” “how can I stop loving you, you who doesn’t deserve me”

It is my personal opinion on it and interpretation because it clearly talks about book and everyone has their own interpretation of what they read :)
On Hotel del Luna May 20, 2024
I wish they would make a drama similar to this. Not the storytelling but a drama that is innovative, with a lot of twist of events, not boring and well wrapped :/

You are wrong. It is absolutely rewatachable and you can notice a lot more details in the scenes that you won't…
that is your point of view, I respect that

I haven't seen it yet so I can't comment on the movie, I just wanted to comment on your last sentence. I've lived…
I totally agree but I said this in a way that so far the US has sort of the monopole over Godzilla movies, it was unexpected to see Japan take over this franchise and they showed us they can do it better !

It is overrated and overhyped but overrated and overhyped doesn’t mean it is bad.

It is actually good and more than just good. Then, in my personal opinion it is far to be the best series or concept ever made and flaws in the plot and directing process can be spotted. Tho the top review to me shares a very pertinent sum up of the series with their pros and cons.

You're absolutely right! It's not rewatchable. But, like with political ideology or most of the overhyped Hollywood…
💯

I actually thought Lee Je Hoon acted amazingly well. But then I did watch this shortly after it first came out…
thanks for the recommendation!

for the cases… they are not actually that based of reality.. living in Korea, I read the cases they just picked up one thing that happened that has nothing to do with the whole case most of the times (everytime). and sometimes, cut off the real problem of what truly happened (last case but turned it into the guy dying because of infos given). and so what I was saying is.. on each case there is just so little taking out from reality… which “based of reality” is a bit of a commercial lie here to me.

But in the end, what the drama did with it is very interesting and good to watch but don’t believe ghe cases are actually taken from reality… example (and you can do the same with all cases). the one with the dad seeking revenve from his girl dying in the bus. actually the only truth about this cases is a bus crashing after a bridge fell off. nothing else is related to it nor the dad or so. nor such investigation etc.

The top review this time summarized all my thoughts and I agree with it and the rating. I like more characters development and korean drama series really have to work on their endings… anyway this is my personal thought 💭

Worth watching. I love special effects, the idea and the way they materialized the idea and especially characters development.

I was worried some side characters were left out in the beginning or unnecessary or so but actually they are doing a great job developing them if you keep up around the 10th episode or even a little before. I am worried about the ending. I feel it coming and feel it is going to be something we saw over and over but I won’t make any hasty judgement until I see the end. In any case worth watching even if there is a teenage vibe that will be in this case perhaps a challenge for late generation that enjoy asian contents.
On Godzilla Minus One Jan 21, 2024
Fans of Godzilla franchise never expected they needed this in a godzilla movie. Basically this movie gives viewers satisfaction out of something they didn’t expect.

When I watch a Godzilla movie I am here for the entertainment, the fun, the beast… And I never cared much about the people, sometimes do I usually find myself supporting godzilla..

But here they gave us a story. A story through japan history to the point you wonder if godzilla was indeed real in our lifetime *joke*. They make us care about the characters and they are very much developed. At least enough to care. To the point that sometimes you actually don’t want to see godzilla. Thanks to everyone’s performance that was top notch.

There is a retro vibe here that is well done. The sounds, the raw sounds, the silence… it is so well done too. It triggers emotions in you which is hard. The crossover with history is gorgeous to witness.

It is also beautifully shot, godzilla is threatening (at least at the beginning) and his look.. nobody made a godzilla this way before ! Special effects are geat and this is only a 15$ millions budget movie ??

Japan has nothing to envy from the US.

See You in My 19th Life gave off pseudo-pedophilia vibes. Like how are you a grown woman in a kid's body attracted…
Huh to me it was more than this. And if I compare them is because they were both strong webtoons adapted to dramas (like many of course) but from
those recently. that being said, ses you in my 19th life was to me better in the webtoon version but in the drama adaptation this is so chaotic….

Yeah. Watch the first 2 episodes. It is fast paced and there are just 8 episodes (2 every wednesday)
Why do I wish it was a longer..
On A Shop for Killers Jan 17, 2024
Just saying I am quite surprised by the vibe of it, directing choices, the cinematography and the characters the actors play. Not saying I enjoy it or don’t enjoy it just it is quite surprising. I wasn’t expecting this.
On Marry My Husband Jan 17, 2024
It might be too early to comment but on early thoughts it is quite faithful to the webtoon.

It is just more sentimental. I’d even say it sounds nostalgic, the vibe of the series which never sounded this way while reading. I personally enjoy it and I think it is a wise choice as readers might remember how stressful and infuriating was the webtoon (even if we like the story). In the drama they portrait them a bit more normal (bad or good people).

The other difference is the chemistry between Kang Ji Won, Park Min Hwan and Jung Soo Min altogether that is less present in the webtoon and to my taste a bit too much in the drama. But it is still early to conclude something about this.

For rest of the show I’ll wait to give full review. but so far it is enjoyable even if there are obvious flaws whether you read and enjoyed the webtoon or not.
