y’all I got a question, did they actually sleep together in ep 2 or like what the heck was that? lowkey don’t even know what I saw in this ep. thoroughly confused but here for the chemistry i guess lmao

am I the only one who's glad they didn't continue the fast paced romance, I feel like it would've been too rushed if the leads didn't have their own lives to focus on. (to be fair they're gonna reunite in ep 3 anyway, so it's not like they're playing the separation storyline for too long, it'll be worth the wait!)

I haven't read it yet but zhu yu (chasing jade) seems to be popular! and I think the drama adaptation comes out next year

it's finally hereee. and it feels like it was so worth the agonising wait, everything is on point so far. the visuals, the cinematography, the acting, the chemistry!! and the places in the drama nostalgically remind me of my journey to you but in a lighter and brighter way. PLUS we got to see a glimpse of zuo ye which was such a delight ahahah

Yeah I agree with this, I think both characters have certain qualities that make them red flags. But it's different for both of them, for me personally, it seems like shen wen lang has a lot of internalised childhood trauma that is often seen in his hatred for omegas. and like you said his mouth for sure runs 10 x faster than his brain ahaha. Hua yong on the other hand, is quite controlling and tactical and we pretty much see him at the center of a lot of situations that he himself has created. I'm not too sure about his past trauma as I haven't read the novel, but it does seem like all four of the leads have some form of trauma that has defined them into who they are as individuals in the present. I also think now that Hua yong's true identity is exposed, his character is so unfiltered and more enjoyable to watch ahaha. All in all, both Hua yong and Shen wen lang have done things we hated, loved and also barely tolerated, but that's what makes them complex and more interesting for us to see!

shen wenlang's micro expressions in ep 12 were INSANE, you could see pure distress in his eyes in contrast to his angry exterior. and I love seeing gao tu smile, those dimples just melt your heart <3

on a positive note, this drama looks so insanely good already!!!! can't imagine the hype when it starts airing and the first few eps come out ahahah

I cannot believe I managed to wait for the rest of the eps to release before continuing ahaha, now its time for the binge watch

just gonna watch fangs of fortune for the first time while I wait for this one hehe

i keep thinking back to the elevator scene, and it's really interesting because it subtly indicated that he is opening up to her in some way. simply because after their heated conversation he came back to make sure she knew that his anger isn't directed towards her. it's such a normal thing for most people, but for his character it felt out of character for him to return and make sure she knew what his intention was. and to top it off, he doesn't seem like the type of person who cares about what other people think of him. even with his close co-workers we never see him vulnerable with feelings or explanations. even when he lashed out at the abusive father and took the little girl to the hospital, he was quite vulnerable and out of control and that too was only perceived by kang hyomin. it feels like the tables are slowly but surely turning.

that is exactly what i was thinking !! i was like wait why does he look so familiar ahaha

damn you need to write a book at this point because the way you described everything was just chef's kiss!! something i've noticed is that the ML only smiles or gets close to amusement because of the FL. other than that I genuinely cannot recall seeing him breaking from his usual demeanour. while this one may be the slowest burn, I think some intentional choices of interactions between the two of them do indicate fondness that has potential to turn into something more in the future. but at the moment I am thoroughly soaking up every second of the tension and I am totally sat to see how their organic connection and chemistry is explored further.

the gym scene was too funny AHAHAH is it just me or does it seem like her ex sees yoon seok hun as an even bigger rival now, maybe out of jealousy (?) . on another note, him throwing out the soap and cologne is a good sign of progress even if he almost took the box back, baby steps.

ohh i just know he's gonna have to apologise for his 'cheap attorney' comment in the next ep. why is he so hot and cold?? one minute there's progress and the next minute he's all cold and outlandish. pick a sideee please (love him either way tho lmao he's definitely got a good heart)

yeah i noticed that lady too and i honestly thought maybe it's that artist's wife (ex?) or something. the whole cologne thing was so odd to find out, because we know that kang hyo min low-key compliments that same scent from his handkerchiefs and yoon himself. but to find out that his ex-wife is the one that makes him that very same cologne was baffling. and interestingly enough that means he still wears the cologne so i feel like that is definitely an overarching motif for the show. we'll probably see how this cologne/scent motif plays out in future eps where he possibly stops using it or it becomes insignificant for him to show he's finally freed himself from his past and moved on.

y'all it's been a hot minute since I was this hooked onto a kdrama. i need all the rest of the eps immediatelyy

hyunwook fits the role of his character perfectly, honestly could not imagine anyone else playing this character convincingly. he’s got that perfect balance of goofiness and seriousness as his character is so lost between both of his identities. it’s gonna be so interesting when he starts being more himself !!
