How many ep you've watched and is it worth watching?
i personally found the comedy to be absolutely hilarious and worth it. this has to be one of the funniest kdramas I've seen in a long time + the romance is great and balances well with the comedy as well. overall i'd say it's worth giving a go :)
Tbh, I haven't started watching because I heard they had some stereotypical African crap with savior complex playing…
it doesn't get particularly worse in that sense i think, they're definitely making an improvement in ep 3 & 4. i'd still recommend giving the drama a go, maybe start from ep 3 and see how it is because i personally found the latest eps hilarious.
the stress index questionnaire was such a good plot device bc I don't think I ever realised how much stress is involved when you're working in the entertainment industry. and the build up towards tae sung at the end of the ep was so well executed, i feel like we'll start seeing more about his true self now.
also any person that shares their perspective has a valid opinion. but if you're gonna loom in this comments section for days just to judge, comment and disrespect other people and their culture/country, then people have the right to call you out for it, its as simple as that.
some people just have to realise that this drama does have insane flaws, all stemming from the writers ignorance which only seems to get worse as each episode goes by. and at this point if you cannot see the issue with some scenes being shown in ep 1 and 2 (you all know exactly which ones) so far then i don't think we're watching the same kdrama :)
i think it’s definitely worth giving a go. regardless of what a lot of these comments say, the drama has a lovely romantic-comedy trope with a bit of enemies to lovers. ep 1 is a bit slow but it gets so much better in ep 2. plus the main leads are amazing together!
there are so many comments about the leads' acting and all i would like to say is that it would be to early to criticise at this point, we're still at the surface of character development. as the story progresses I'm sure we'll uncover more and peel back all the layers of the characters. also there's a high chance kim young dae's character is meant to be portrayed so recklessly and impulsive right now as its necessary for this character development in the later eps.
omg why did it take this long for kim young dae and lee sung kyung to star in a kdrama together??? their interactions in ep 1 were so limited but their chemistry seems truly unmatched, can't wait to see more of this pair!!
personally, while ep 1 had MANY enjoyable and fresh qualities, the way they portrayed Africa as a country instead of its respective title as a continent is quite inappropriate and uncalled for. the depiction of whole continents and countries being constantly associated with poverty and places for "volunteer work" NEEDS to end. countries are always developing and will continue to grow and flourish regardless of such stereotypes in dramas and movies. hopefully us raising this concern will reach the writers/production team, so that they don't ever do to this again and are aware of their mistake.
Its really nice and i enjoyed watching it but there is this thing that annoyed me so much😡 hwal took years…
that's a good point but after seeing the swift and primitive behaviour of the bulgasals from the past, it doesn't surprise me that he was able to get out of the well. the well was open + he gained an insane amount of strength from consuming all the human blood so it seems plausible. also if we recall, hwal has never consumed human blood before so we don't truly know his level of strength, speed and capabilities. and since he's an original bulgasal there might be an angle of "the greater the age the stronger the power". but this is just my own theory :)
every kdrama comes with flaws and aspects that people are gonna criticise it for. people should just embrace this one for what it is, new thrilling and entertaining k-zombie content which we had been deprived of for a few years now. it came with a young cast filled with talented and hardworking actors and actresses that are now on the rise of international stardom because of their stellar performances. i have friends who completely disliked k-dramas and movies, but this was the k-drama that made them change their perspective and completely blew their minds. personally, the satisfying blend of comedy, thriller, gore and survival with a hint of romance topped off with such a great cast of fresh faces makes this drama worth watching.
and i mean haters gonna hate, but holding 1st place on netflix globally for over a week and seeing the starring cast's fan-following increase literally by MILLIONS speaks louder than any troll comment :)
they looked pretty horrified to me. Definitely not happy or elated. Shocked in a negative sense. Whatever they…
while everyone else seemed pretty shocked in that last shot, it almost felt as if suhyeok was slightly grinning. so I don't necessarily think they were shocked in a negative sense but more shocked as in they genuinely couldn't believe what they were seeing. I think daesu and hyo-ryung were the most expressively shocked ones while all the others seemed more internally shocked and then there's just suhyeok throwing us all off with his slight grin.
Hey, listen guys. i don't know how no one talked about it but are we just goanna ignore the fact that onjo was…
In episode 1, Onjo wasn't bitten by Hyeon-ju in the infirmary. Onjo hurt her hand while trying to avoid getting bitten by Hyeon-ju. In ep 1, Suhyeok confirms this when Cheongsan asks how Onjo got hurt.
