I don't know if someone is like me but F4 thailand made me obsessed, my every day life can be resumed as waiting and hoping for saturday to come faster. Everything that I watch feel so dull compared to this one. My expectations for dramas became so high lol.
Oh that was good for an ending. An ill fated relationships, just one main and simple plot and they turned it into 16 episodes, overall it was really entertaining and I enjoyed every second of it. The only mystery unsolved and we will never know is why min sang un stabbed hwal 6OO years ago.
Let's sort it out. The director is just amazing, the way he focus more on the script and human interactions. And here we go again, we can witness it with this episode.
Let me be clear I am team Thyme but this review will be objective and sorry in advance for my poor english as it's not my first language.
Gorya and Ren's date was so cute and their chemistry is clearly seen during the date. For me, it means that Ren is the one she can except for a sane and stable relationships but as the saying goes "sometimes the heart wants what the mind don't understand". She doesn't want to cross the lines where Thyme stand by because of uncertainty and the challenge that will follow. It's really understandable for me.
And Ren is the most supportive friend I have seen. He's in the sad state right now (with Mira stuffs) but nevertheless, he helped Thyme and Gorya to sort things out between them. He is the silent one but deep down, Ren is the most observant and sensible. When Thyme said if is it that bad? (reference to Mira) I was touched by how fast his expression saddened. I know his character's development arc will follow (as I saw the other versions). And the way he said "Don't mess it again because then I will not back down" is clearly a hint for the journey that will follow.
Now, let's talk about Thyme, this man...the more he acts in every scenes, the more I am in love. I am blown away by his acting, the anger and frustration he shows during the classroom scene with Gorya. And the last sentences he said before leaving just hurt me in another level. And when he asks his mother if he was worried about him, her answer and his expression that follows was so depressing for my poor heart to handle.
Kavin and Kaning's chemistry is building up right now. My favorite scene was the confrontation with Tesla the playboy boyfriend lol (In every version, this scene is iconic). This guy laughing irritated me at some point, I wanted to slap his face, thanks to Gorya. But the actor who plays Tesla is clearly paid for being kicking out by both leads lol though great applause for Gun taking such role.
Gorya's confession scene at the mall was just so good. That's we called true love haa. But Thyme saying "I love her", I am melting even more and just him being honest and open again with Gorya about his fear and complex, that was another great step in their relationship. I am so proud of him, closing the stadium because of her.
Oh and mention bonus for our 4th member MJ, this man... he's the most patient friend I have ever seen. The way he handled Kavin during his state of anger and asking Kaning some help made me laugh so hard . But also, knocking at Thyme's door without giving up, franckly speaking he needs to receive the award of the most tolerant best friend of the gang right now.
And last but not least, the fight scenes, how come i will forget one of the most epic scene that have ever been done. The lighting, acting, script, there were so much intensity and we can clearly witness the chemistry that the director said among the F4 members. I saw all the versions, but this one shows the great friendships of these boys. F4 is not just a title, it's the only safe heaven that they can have behind their shitty shallow world there. And we know when Thyme said he don't want Gorya anymore if loosing Ren, I would say it's not only because of his mother's order but he care about Ren.
Anyway, that was a pure roller coaster of emotions, thanks for bearing to read this long review.
So let me explain, I empathize with EulTae through all the episodes released thinking he had his own past and trauma however on episode 14, he annoyed me, killing the shaman, hurting Doo Yoon (he was like his younger brother though), and now putting doubts to the inspector (what's the purpose? A petty move come on). And now, episode 15's preview implies that Eultea have been always helping Hwal all the times, so I don't know if I should like him again lol. I have some conflicted feeling with this dude. Don't hate me, I am the kind of person who have soft spot for vilains.
One person in the comment section, told that they still working. They have worked until the other day until 6
oh really, that's great then but as far as I know, thai dramas are similar to chinese dramas, they filmed entirely and released it the year after. Unlike korean drama but who knows...
