Did JBZ forge the bridge because only lovers can enter? Or they are truly inlove?
based on my experience in bridge for xianxia ( π yeah there is some other cdrama concept like this), it needs two to tangos, so they actually needs to have both feelings at some point. It was subtle but when the bridge appear, JBZ seems quite surprised it did (that's my assumption though), but i guess MY is still not aware that she does have feeling for him.
I don't think she was sheltered entirely π€ force her to live only one life in one way is not what I call sheltered.…
My point about sheltered here is actually during their argument on episode 15 debating how to deal with that hanfeng guy. MY has her mother's love, her shifu's support and 27 since young age so she was not deprived of love like our ML, she still trusts in the good especially when they ask JBZ if they should denounce that hanfeng villain to the six realms, he said, you should not trust in anyone, while her point was not everyone is evil. The thing is i totally get their points, her own realm is scheming against her so it's not wise to bring this issue, she is quite naive on that part though, but who is trustworthy then?
We can also see that she can be loyal to the person she cares about like her bestie at moonlit, 27 or even JBZ when actions speak for it. Still, i agree that her manipulation tactic to do things her way is not good either. These two need real communication and love growth not character development at this point π anyway sorry for this rumbling
Its getting better and more interesting....one moral question i have is...so far isnt it asummed that the antidote…
Exactly my thought, what if indeed he needs that golden potion (the name is too long lol) for his own survival and at the end he sacrificed it for her, hopefully we'll not go that trope.
she's cunning but he has soft spot for her. She seduces him multiple times, but she's the one who got flustered in her own game or both i guess. Tension is palpable, with their gaze and touch. My personal favorite is during heavy scene (ep11, ep13 and ep15), their chemistry top the chart.
Okay, now the real angst will come after MY's lie againπ₯² i'm scared how they will handle this, MY has not fallen so much to JBZ for her to still hide
Today's episode really show the layers of how both Ming Yi and JBZ's upbringing affect their view in the world. Ming Yi coming from a royal family has been more sheltered and still trust on people's good nature. While she's not completely naive with all these years of pretending to be someone else only for the crown prince title. That's why she's witty and mischievous. JBZ is the opposite, he was raised in more dark place, prisoner at a young age, he was exposed to the evil nature of humans, making him more suspicious of everyone, He doesn't trust easily, but when he does, we can see how he is more sensitive and feel things more strongly, as of today's episode (him crying in the rain π₯²). Their personalities clashed because while he doesn't trust anyone, he is actually the one who wants to trust the most. Meanwhile, MY is more strong willed, having more control over her emotions after years of hiding behind a mask. Will MY soon fall hard ? π₯², anyway sorry for the long essay but this cdrama is making my brain riot
