despite everything, i have to say the casting and the acting for this is spectacular. the actors are truly carrying this show. it really feels like they were brought to life from the danmei itself. esp fei du / pei su.
where i can found the audio drama, and in what sub was the audio drama? are that avaible in English audio?
you can listen to it officially on missevan / maoerfm, it does not have english sub, but you can google translate the chinese sub, theyre pretty understandable, especially if you read it simultneously with the novel.
honestly i would recommend to just continue with drama instead of reading the novel.otherwise, you'll find yourself constantly looking for deleted scenes or censored scenes in the drama. you can read the novel afterwards to see what you missed, there's also the audio drama thats just as good.
The FL was the highlight of this drama for me. The way Julia Xiang managed to portray Qingge and Ranran and make them different but also similar enough in their principles and how they view the world. You could see they were the same soul with different life experiences and powerlevels, I love that. Ranran really grew throughout the story and when the memories do come back, the character felt like a mix of both, I love how the drama did that instead of overwriting one for the other. It's so rare to see dramas have sensible FL with emotional depth, without making them seem like a cheerful but clueless teenager or an intelligent ruthless girlboss, not that either are bad but this was refreshing.
will fl ever remember her past self? like actually remember everything? im getting exhausted pls put spoiler ty
From a storytelling POV, it doesn't really matter at this point, so probably never. She knows everything that happened even if if she doesn't remember it. In a lot of other stories, I don't like how their personalities get replaced after the memories come back, and Ranran now is like a mix between how she used to be and Qingge anyway.
I like how the misunderstanding don't last long, like for exambple, they could've easily stretched out the Mu Ranwu plotline, but almost everyone figured out she's a fake, and NOW she is only an annoyance rather than a straight up villainess. She's more like a cockroach we got to keep alive because the sisters' lives are tied together. (When is our dumb demon Wei Jiu going to realise though? LMAO)
It's been so long since I've seen a couple that loves each other so hard but tries different ways to be distant.…
Mu Qingge pushed him away because she didn't want others to know he's the demon child. As Ranran, she never pushed him away.
Su Yishui is pushing her away because.. I think two main reasons. 1. He is scared as soon as Ranran remembers her past, she will leave him because MuQingge's last words to him was "Let's never meet each other for eternity" 2. He has seen his future self trying to kill Ranran and take her core away so he does not want to hurt her. Seeing as the Spring took control of him in the past, he is now very scared she will die again because of him.
the only casting im happy with his yu sangah and jung heewon, the others are such odd choices and feels like a miscast. not to mention they changed the storyline to make it seem like idk a highproduction monsters invasion movie rather than one about a loveletter to "stories".
I’ve never felt that way. ML and FL naturally have different attitudes towards things in different periods.…
Yep, disagree with OP, and what you've said is so true, despite the rebirth MC is very young , and ML never got the chance to have that childhood phase, and he's been living in misery after MQG's death. Let them have whatever joy they can now.
am i the only one who likes her as mu qingge (the past) vs the present mu ranran? i really like the badass mu…
that was me intiailly, but ranran has grown on me. mqg starts as a fully realised person from the get go, but ranran is beginning from level 1. plus theyre both so similar just with different life experience. i love them both.
I want to see Qingge/Ranran and Li Susu from TTEOTM in a room together. I love both but Ranran's attitude of defying fate and changing the future at any cost and seeing the demon child as a poor little meowmeow has healed something in me.
i started watching this bl when it was airing and i really liked it. i thought the two main guys had such good…
recently getting back into watching dramas and i just heard about this, heartbroken. idk what went down.. i think they drifted away but during the filming of bad buddy, they were best friends irl and genuinely loved eachother (platonically), a lot of the scenes in bad buddy is improvised, and the chemistry was very much real. i dont think there is any resentment (hopefully) but they are definitely staying away from each other on camera. genuinely hope they reconcile eventually in the future, i adored their friendship along with chimon.
