also meng ting hui and yan fu zhi are literally friendship goalsss

3 eps in and i am locked tf in. the whole cast is doing such a solid job. the child actors especially caught me off guard, the little girl playing young meng ting hui literally outacted people almost twice her age in the flashback scenes. the pacing is good so far and plot is very engaging, keeps you hooked.

my only complaint is the ai intro. bring back hand drawn openings pleaseeee ☹️also the desert looks off to me, cgi or green screen idk but it’s not blending right and i keep getting thrown off bc of it

iirc these numbers were lower yesterday when the rating was 8.0, no clue how mdl works...but atleast this drama has a good rating everywhere else
