As for right now the leads are not as experienced as other actors people had in mind for the roles. Many expected…
Again, the case of woh is different. They actually hired professional actors. ZZH and GJ may not have been super famous(fame means nothing for skills tbh) but they were pretty good actors with professional training and ok previous works and a lot of the supporting cast are prolific people who were begged into acting in the show last minute. I don't know why everyone was under the impression that woh would flop, the show actually seemed pretty ahead of the curve from the production days. (If I knew everyone had so little faith in it, I would have made some bets on it and won!) Anyway, this show is actually different, specifically because they didn't hire all professional actors. Some of the cast are idols with little to no acting experience (which is something the woh director talks about not doing and insisting on hiring actors). So I think being a bit worried for the casting of this show is normal. It's a big budget, high profile project so they didn't need to hire young, cheap actors. If they wanted they probably could hire more high profile actors but that doesn't mean this casting will be terrible. It's just that the probability of it not being great is higher. We just have to wait and see the finished show to know for sure. It's going to be a long 2 years! lol
I just submitted a new one. Let's see if it'll be accepted.
Yes, it's truly a complex plot. We still don't know what the show will keep from the novel. For now a generalized summary of roughly what the book is about can help new fans and viewers to decide if they may be interested. It's just important not to give big spoilers. I hope this summary will be better for now. We'll have a more solid summary once the show is aired.
Great review! I can’t watch this because I usually not in the mood for tragedy but i found your review enlightening
Thank you! I was hesitant to watch at first too but I ended up enjoying it a lot. It was helped by the fact that the sad ending fit the story well. It felt earned.
I think my favorite thing about this show is all the people around them who know about the things that happened…
Am I tripping? Did something change in Li Chengyin's face around episode 46-48? Something looks different about him...like he looks more handsome somehow?! but not that...I don't know, I can't put my finger on it. Something is off somehow.
From what i understand, the ones who are doing the translations want to do right by the author and allow mostly…
One chapter a month...lol. I'm sorry but that just sounds so funny to me... the book is 311 chapters! lol! It'll be a literal case of that meme with the old lady and the nurse. lmao!
Have you seen her episode on Faith makes Great? It’s already out but no subs.https://youtu.be/J6C1318La9E
Oh I hope they release more of her dramas soon. I think she's very good. I haven't seen the episode! I didn't know which one it was. Thanks for the link.
Does anyone know what is up with her projects? How come she has so few projects released? I think she's one of the best Chinese actresses I have ever seen. I hope her work is appreciated.
Did I hear it right? Our rigid Wanning and our overzealous Moran are being portrayed as father and son…That is…
Fake rumor #1223771276518. We've been here. We've heard all of these. Fake, fake, fake! Nobody knows anything about this show. None of the rumors are true or false. They're simply all fake.
I am loving this show. It is so well made! The story is so beautifully told, the acting is great even from minor…
I think my favorite thing about this show is all the people around them who know about the things that happened in the past and they know these two have forgotten and they just...stand by and watch and just say noting.
Okay, I don't know if Gu Jian will get worse later in the show but in the book, he's really creepy! Like none of the things he does are ok! He has no respect for Xiao Feng's autonomy. It's really annoying because I initially liked him better but the more I think about it, the worse his betrayal is.
