When the little brother showed up and said to his mother: you've used Lingyi as both your warhorse and a stud stallion for years. Don't you think he deserves to have some control over his own life? please stop whoring him out to insane, murderous concubines and let him live his life.
is it true that after WOH and specially their concert, authorities in china are now more strict on BL contents?…
No. It's a silly lie which can easily be debunked once you see that the show and its concert are still legally available on Chinese platforms. If the authorities are that upset by the show, they would start by banning it first. These rumors are made by anti-fans who are trying to start drama between fandoms of different bl adaptations. This helps them create a clout for fame but also creates a horn effect around bl adaptations that will ultimately harm ALL of these stories. I suggest you ignore these and if you ever see someone spread them, shut them down immediately (not rudely, just politely!).
Same. The book itself mentioned that Hua Cheng has a widow's peak that makes him look older and very refined.
This is why my fancast is Song Wei Long if I only count looks and not acting skills. He is actually very young but he also has certain features that make him look both young and older at once so facial-wise, he would be great. Acting wise...I'm not sure! And I know the plots of most danmei (and actually cnovels generally) always have really young people with very exceptional lives but I find that whole thing a bit superficial and a bit ageist. I don't think it's really preserving the integrity of the novel to uphold those young ages. Especially with complex characters, I prefer people with good acting skills rather than beautiful faces or young ages to get the roles. And I know this is a very unpopular opinion and that people seem to love baby face actors. Anyway, I think in this case the best of both worlds would be casting an actor in his early 20s with good skills who can pull off both a 17yo and a more mature Hua Cheng at once. I just don't know enough chinese actors, to specifically point to one person and say, "This guy! He can do it!"
Does any one know some good novel which I can read like HYX? I like genre like wuxia and have to be a bl.Please…
The scumbag self-saving system is similar in some things to 2ha but it's more a satire of the tropes. So it's not as emotionally devastating. I've also heard Meatbun's other novel Yu wu is good but I haven't read it yet. If you want wuxia, Priest has a bunch of bl wuxia novels, like Faraway wanderers. You can also always check out NovelUpdates? The site has a good collection of translated/translating east asian novels and it even has links to translations. You can browse around and find what suits you best.
......W h y? Long dramas are very much enjoyable sometimes, and HERE, 50 episodes is pretty needed! The only reason…
maybe it'll be excluded from this. I just hope they'll air it sooner than later. If it airs, half of our worries will be gone. Then we can just worry about performances and good plots and the upcoming episodes!
So apparently, future cdramas should be 40 eps or less. This makes me wonder if that's why SPL is now 40 eps+ 6 bonus eps. Now I am seriously worried about immortality and how that will all work with 50 eps. People complain that cdramas are too long and 98% of those complaints are fair but 2ha is a 311 chapter book so 50 eps is a fair number of episodes for its adaptation and I just don't know what's going to happen. Maybe 2 seasons with 25 episodes each?
Reposting my comment from 2 months ago (take a guess at how far I had to scroll? XD) because I've noticed that…
If these are true to how it really is, then I am really excited to see it. Hopefully, we will get the show soon. I miss the characters so much. I want to see them come alive on screen.
