I have to say, I can't really relate to not understanding what's going on and no recognizing characters. I do think long cdramas occasionally jump around in the plot in a way that can get confusing but I usually figure out who's who by episode 6! That's when the plot picks up speed too! lol
The original version is Scarlet Heart - a Chinese drama. I liked the Chinese version much better personally. (If…
I'm a newbie to Asian dramas so I haven't watched many. I watched Yanxi palace and I got used to the hairstyles surprisingly fast but still...they are not ideal! lol
1. What the heck is the motive for DHS's father murders? Why he did this? And how exactly he killed all these…
Seven years before the father "committed suicide", he told everyone his wife had run away but she was most probably his first victim. She was one of the six corpses that were found. He also met Baek Hee Seung when he took Hyun Soo for therapy because his mom was gone. (This is my theory: The mother told him she wanted to leave or wanted a divorce and he killed her then really enjoyed doing it so much that he did it a couple more times. He had mental issues, similar to Baek Hee Seung so they don't need motives.) Idk how much you know but usually serial killers don't kill for any ulterior motive. They kill for the sake of killing, hence the serial part of their murders.
I don't know others but it's just such a healing process for me to simply read someone else's description of Wang So's mistreatment because it makes me feel vindicated and less sad! That poor child! He wasn't a bad person but everyone treated him like crap.
You can watch it in dramanice, SC drama, Asiaflix, Kissasian etc. Yep the story ends but the ending is too sad.…
Thank you! I ended up binging it and yes it was sad but I don't think there really was any space for a second season. The show was really done by the end.
What do I watch to get over the sadness now that I am done? What's with Lee Joon Gi and tragic, hopeless romances?! Has he ever been in anything that doesn't make one ugly cry by the end?
This is so funny. It's essentially the cast of yanxi palace. They have 80% of their cast in common! Is this a normal practice for cdramas? To have a whole team that works with each other all the time?
I watched yanxi palace and ruyi but why did they have different points of view? In yanxi this step empress was…
I am pretty sure that Yanxi is more accurate. Obviously both shows take liberties to dramatize but as far as I know, empress Fucha is known to be a very good person and the emperor loved her very much and wrote a ton of poetry for her after she died and even wished they hadn't had a kid so she wouldn't get heartbroken and die. Meanwhile, step empress died in disfavor and without a title and there is even some dispute over what her real name is!
