I swear, If I ever find a kid like Chen yi,I will definitely do my best to protect him. A life from start to end with no happiness is miserable, A Kid, who deserves A decent life , if not happy isn't much, atleast during childhood, but this kid was hated, Beaten, tortured 1/4th his life, if such a person exist, his body might give up on him soon.that makes me question God, why give such a miserable life, Not that we ask for this life.

I know that's why I loved the show, just that the chemistry was a bit lacking for me in that show, obviously because they didn't focus on it and it was a show that was relatable for me on a personal level

I was bored in amidst the snow storm. The royal princess is Zhang linghe one, the historical one, where they travel back in time. But, Reborn is good too, just that I felt the male lead had no role, the main focus was just her fighting against her family and society to live as a girl.

The Alien drama was good because I read the novel, and I know the story isn't about aliens but the ancient myths in China, about goddess of creation Nv hua who created humans also created the Owls ( The aliens). The novel has more depth, in the show however due to Chinese laws, they become aliens, compared to all the other things written by this author, this is the best one, the seven relics of Ill omen was bad, atleast after 20th episode I was done,

But if I have recommend an actress with Alot of good shows in her discography it's Sun Qian, she has never once disappointed me,I have accidentally watched 4 shows by her and all 4 were a solid 8. Love story in 1970 is definitely good but apart from that Love song in winter? Something similar , it was good too like 7-8, it has few loopholes but then I watched The guilty ( this one broke me, All the 3 main actors were so good), I feel bad that apart from Sun Qian the other 2 actors aren't famous at all, I have never seen them. The last was Wind direction, this was also a nostalgic grounded show.

I agree, SWL can be flat but he is good with action scenes. Even I didn't find him that cool in shine on me as much as the hype, it was ok but his recent another drama some eternal fragrance is definitely bad, I couldn't get past episode 1, this one is pretty decenct watch, atleast the 2 years of him being missing is keeping me on hook, But the female lead can be flat too, i loved her drama reborn , but I felt she didn't have much chemistry in that drama ( may be because it wasn't focused on romance), dilraba has chemistry, in dramas where the plot isn't romance focused, like love on turquoise land, she and Cheng xingxu definitely had good chemistry, with Arthur, I have only watched one drama and it's my Favourite cdrama Love story in 1970s, it's the most grounded drama I have ever watched, with Zhao zinmai,. watch her drama Royal princess that one is decent like 7/10.

I watched My journey to you, she was good but I couldn't concentrate, the expressions of Zhang ling he and Cheng lei were hilarious. I have no idea why the director wanted such an exaggerated expression but that drama made even decent actors look like they are in a daily soap. And after 16 episodes, it went downhill, all thanks to the writer

When I say fans have "Type Casted", I mean, most of the times, all her "Cute" role drama has been most well received, speed and love ( it was a literal fan service , you can clearly see, Director is only interested in making the leads look good but the background is not even well edited), My journey to you is her only serious role, unfortunately it didn't get the hype of speed and love also, the writer really messed up in between and the expression of Zhang linghe and Cheng lei in that drama was hilarious, I couldn't concentrate (Normally they are decent actors, no idea what was wrong), Love game in eastern fantasy is really well written, love between devil and fairy was good too and she has acted well, but you can literally see, out off all her discography, she has only 1 serious role, isn't that type casting to a cute, bubbly character? Because it matches her idol persona, so those are the roles that she is offered, And in this drama also she is a bubbly character with a tragic past but they have toned it down a little, still she is on the cute side. It is because, the fans always view her as a Cute Little Girl, it's similar to the Actress in Go ahead drama, even she is type casted for certain roles, it's sad that they never get to show their full potential. Even Yang Zi was almost type casted for Cute Dumb Character, until she did switch up.

I have watched all the episodes till today, but I'm feeling it's too slow paced for me. The mystery isn't even raveling in a engaging manner. And I feel, Esters fan have literally Type casted her, I know she has a "Cute" Concept for her idol persona, and it works for certain drama like love game In eastern fantasy, I really liked her in that but at this point, I feel as soon as any Cute female lead is needed, they just pull ester and never let her go to a rather serious, mysterious or rather mean girl characters at all. I would love to see her as psychopath or in any thriller series. The type caste is so strong that even if the drama doesn't demand her to be cute, she is pushed to be cute just to get traffic for her dramas. I mean, even if the director doesn't do that, I guess they can still get views. It's like watching the same drama over and over again.

I have just started watching this, but I want to know is there some mishaps with the second male lead (Wang rou hai)? It looks as if his face was pasted on a different body. From front and from back angle it looks different for some reason, even when he is talking to her, it looks like he is looking at the void , can he see ghosts?

I think she meant Dad left me, like he left her alone in this world, now even her mother is doing the same. In the series they aren't telling us where did the debt start from, it's frustrating to think that a 17 year old has to deal with this

In the high school part, I felt more like Kids trying to imitate adults, the desperation to grow up, I could feel that, but yeah the romance was there, until the chapter where lu Xixiao gets to know he was used and was ok with it, that's where I felt, he really was lonely. it felt like he was holding on to the one person that he has finally got in his life, it's like Finally God has bestowed a piece of bread to a man who hadn't had food in years. He can't savour it in an instant, because he doesn't know if the next piece will ever come, so he will hold on to it with all his life. Ofcourse, you are right in your perspective too, this was just a feeling of mine, I can definitely be over analysing it.

Her mother was more impulsive and irrational, so she appeared dumb in the novel, she just wanted money. Her plan was rather simple she just wanted to marry and if something goes wrong then get the alimony, also she kept in touch with Zhou Wan as well, to keep her mouth shut till she marries, so every now and then she would meet her and give her like 50 yuan , she would literally announce her plan in the mall with her friends, so she could be outsmarted, while in the drama, it's like she is cruel to the extreme. She is manipulative, has actual plans of staying in Lu family for a long time. So definitely Zhou Wan cannot win against her.

The trauma bonding in the sense, only she understood him and his extreme ways of life.
He did take the knife, in the novel, he says he did it so that she can stay, even if it means through guilt, later when they meet again, he makes it in a way that he hates her and wants to get back at her, use her too, like a payback, because he knew if he said he still likes her she wouldn't go to him, because of that promise to his grandpa. That tattoo too, also in the novel the make out was described as Zhou Wan wanted to use the most extreme method to make it up to him as much as possible (not sure if this is a mistranslation).

That's why the initial relationship felt more psychological, with people so broken. Later by the end, it felt like Romance to me. When they actually grow.

That's how life works, you can't always Be free and just prioritise relationship, definitely it's important, but priority changes based on circumstances. And it's not like she cancelled last moment, when he said book tickets now, it definitely means there was ample amount of time.
She went abroad to study, to create the career she always desired, when she got a good offer, is she supposed to drop it? After spending so much money on her studies abroad if you cannot gain experience and get what you want , then what's the use of going abroad? Why waste money. In the Novel, Lu Xixiao is A Player rather than a bad boy, he has no interest in studies or art, he is just living by each day, until Zhou Wan shows up, she is rather complicated, because of his player like nature, he would change girlfriends on monthly subscription basis, so Zhou Wan thought of using him to get the money (her father's savings) from her mother . Her mother somewhere knew that Lu Xixiao's father wouldn't easily marry her, and she was scared of Old Lu, so when she sees Zhou Wan with Lu Xixiao , she tries to do everything to seperate them unlike drama she doesn't play with Zhou Wan, making her push lu Xixiao out, she just wants to live in that house. Lu Xixiao in the beginning had doubts about Zhou Wan using him but later actually trusts her, even when he gets to know he was used, he was fine with it, he was ready to let it go, he even did something extreme to gain her sympathy so that she stays, even when he comes back, he does something cruel, tries to invoke her guilt towards him so that she can stay with him. Both of them are so twisted that they needed alot of time to learn how to love normally. So that novel was more of trauma bonding to me.

Luo he is the debt collector as well as rent collector, Zhou wan's grandmother had once taken care of that uncle so, he let them live in that house and collect the debt in the form of rent, but the debt collectors are typically rouge and the uncle wouldn't know how they collect debt, they are usually just a Lackey to the main guy who hands over the debt to that uncle. That's why she usually threatens with the uncle's name to them. That Luo he is also 18 years old and he takes up any kind of job that pays him well.

That's what!!! It's easy for people to just say "You need to open up" but a person who was never heard, can never open up, in their head they have lots to say but those words never reach the mouth.
