Guys! Can someone explain to me why does the guy have to be the one paying? I saw comments on the episode 7 where he apparently forgets his wallet and she had to pay ( it was a prank) but most people in the comments were like this is annoying, a turn off..etc I cannot understand why is it annoying for the girl to pay, like even she had the food, so is it weird to pay? Usually, I'm the one paying most of the times, and I didn't think it was uncommon until now.
After read the novel , I can say that Zhang Jingyi truly perfect for Miao Jing. Can’t wait for them
Is this a "fake siblings" or something like an incest story? Since in the summary it's written "they did not get together" for the parents, just give me a heads up if it's such a story, since I don't like incest or fake siblings trope.
They cut the episodes down due to censorship. I’m positive that affected the editing and development because…
Most dramas do have a censorship issue but they manage to edit it down well, these people just cut the scenes and didn't try to understand the continuation concept in scenes, and the color palette used was terrible, like if they shot the scene in the afternoon but the timing should be evening, they didn't edit the background at all, left it like that. The director is definitely useless
2. They were smart to use Thailand as their cover for Racing, makes it far more believable.
3. I loved the acting of the guy who played father and also San Lai, he was really good. others were good too, like that kid and all of them but didn't standout much to me.
Negatives
1. The director / Editor whoever has edited the Drama , Kindly quit your job, the cuts are so random in some points that you are confused, like in one episode, the edit is of the Mumu and Zhao Zhao walking on the broken pavement and the scene prior to that is added 2 episodes later, there is a scene where they are kissing or something like that and abruptly the scene is cut to her being somewhere else.
2. The Sun and The Moon being in the same horizon scene, Please director, understand the basic, how is it that when the sun and moon are in the same horizon it's Afternoon? It should be evening and the funniest part is that The light used on their face is of evening but the background is as bright as afternoon. Atleast use the right palatte.
3. The first half, I could understand Mu mu ,. She was a teenager so she was at times bold, at times shy, at times timid and at times mature, this is completely acceptable, teenagers are definitely like that but as an adult , who has faced hardships, she has No character development, she is the same. She felt 2D, writer didn't develop her. I cannot imagine that 6 years with her mother's issues and her life being all upside down, the maturity level hasn't changed. And the Male lead who was having difficulty walking on a treadmill, can run all of a sudden, at times it felt as if they just want to get done with this drama, so they kept skipping it.
still feeling the pain of the second lead. despite his faults as a person, I totally can relate to hin because…
I can understand that Second male lead to some extent, you are not with someone because of your financial situations, personal issues, family reasons , then it's completely fine but do not expect them to wait for you. That's where I dislike that guy, he can't blame her for moving on, after a time even Wendy gave up on Peter Pan when he refused to grow up, he never grew up as a character, His inferiority complex never left him till the end. That's his fault.
I rewatched it and read the novel, nowy thoughts have changed after reading the novel, I can't the characters the same anymore.
What remains the same, Thirteen thousand and chubby - Love their dynamic, they are everything you need in a character. Both in the novel and the series I like them. The event with the monster who was the daughter, I still loved it. Is my favourite part of the series
The Main story - The skin that spreads, the fishing rope arch and the arch of thirteen thousands village is my favourite. That was raw, filled with emotions and showed human greed so well.
What I didn't like , The end was extremely rushed, the Main villain seemed so helpless to me, like dude had a Strong Character, great build up of the story but in the end he lost so easily. Entire time I was like " Do something as a Main villain, even the villains before you were more useful" Mu dai in live action - I'm sorry, but that actress seems too small, It's difficult to believe that she can fight that well and her range in expression is limited. Either she has this innocent child like smile or the "I'm the bad Guy" attitude. The range in terms of pain, desperation , Overcoming the trauma seemed limited.
The Main lead - He seemed convincing in my first watch but when I rewatched, I felt compared to the novel he was a bit less charismatic as a leader, he did a good job but I guess I wanted more.
The Double face arch - That leopard lady who kidnaps mu dai and makes her look like her own self . That whole story line was irritating to me, come on, who uses a mask to change face, it just disrupts the flow of the story.
I have a question! Initially they said, it takes 3 days for the red threads to form, how is it that for Jiang it started instantly? In 26th episode, as soon as she used the blade, his eyes changed
if i remember it right, sun zhou was a hopeless case. there were already red threads in his eyes meaning natural…
I think this is what LXR wanted to prove to YT in the mine when she said Humans have fought wars, Contributed to various diseases, But goddess seemed biased to humans. This is what the show is telling, Both the sides have their shortcomings and Grey area, Humans Have greed, selfishness due to which they hurt each other, So we can't say One side is right completely . They Used An innocent human, NJL didn't care much about others since to her this whole thing was nothing but a burden and the locust might be the Kid / brother/ close kin of LXR, she seemed curious and tried to find it.
And I'm also asking in General, is it wrong if the girl pays?
Can someone explain to me why does the guy have to be the one paying? I saw comments on the episode 7 where he apparently forgets his wallet and she had to pay ( it was a prank) but most people in the comments were like this is annoying, a turn off..etc

Usually, I'm the one paying most of the times, and I didn't think it was uncommon until now.
But what can you say, Chinese drama make leads tend to be "Genius"
Good Points :-
1. The basic Storyline was promising enough.
2. They were smart to use Thailand as their cover for Racing, makes it far more believable.
3. I loved the acting of the guy who played father and also San Lai, he was really good. others were good too, like that kid and all of them but didn't standout much to me.

2. If she is a teenager what about her school?
