I actually liked that character!!! But after that jing bo ran had only been taking up serious, non chalant charcters. It's hard to find a Funny guy both online and offline.π
After I rewatched ep 5, I edited the relationship section of my review. You are right about the reason he used…
It matches his personality but I don't remember the novel mentioning it, even though, when they initially split up before the actual break up, I think he had threw away all her things from his house. He immediately cleaned after they stopped the situationship and then regretted it.

Yes!! he always hated her male roommates, right from the beginning he didn't like her being close to MEN!!! I think, in the book when she goes for blind dates for promoting sun yu's business he was irritated too, That's why it felt like He wanted her to be his girlfriend while he wouldn't be a boyfriend to her.

Psychologist, That drama was my first drama of jing bo ran and that is still my favourite character of his, those Colorful shirts, his quirky funny personality was refreshing after always watching Non chalant male leads.

He is seductive and that's why he irritates me!!!! Dude wants Romance from her end but in return can only give situationship from his side, that too only on Friday. π

My only hope is that, they don't change the reason for break-up being company got to know their relationship and one choose to sacrifice. That would be boring

I don't remember the typewriter being mentioned in the book, it's a point that is unique to the drama. Not only the typewriter, even the point where the company has no dating policy isn't there in the story, actually in the story. Like in the drama it made a bit messy, that there is a no dating policy but girls from media team are howling over Luke. In the story it was more lenient company. I'm not sure of this one but in the novel Annie wasn't the one who leaked the pictures of Luke and his girlfriend, it was his Ex who emailed the company, but it would make less sense for that, so they had to change it.
They Toned him down alot, like Now It feels he just doesn't know that he loves her, that's a little less Jerk. Because I was confused of their dynamic, he kept mentioning love just to sleep with her, I was like what does he want, so when I read the novel, my mind just screamed JERK!!! Now when I watch the show, he does seem quite sanitized version, so I can't say he is a jerk, atleast he sees her as a human , is protecting her but you cannot disagree that he knew she likes him and still wanted a situationship with her (I know, He has already made it clear). It was a bit sad. Situationships are complicated, it only works if conditions are met well on both sides, the girl is having some hope of romance while the guy is the opposite, it feels like a moth being attracted towards the fire. But For a Cdrama having situationship as a Plot point is a progess, after all every male lead in cdrama tends to be this inexperienced guy who just simps for one girl all his life. At times that feels like watching a unicorn.
I realise now, why was the FL so irritating to me, she reminds me of my own self. I have the same timid personality, where I find it difficult to talk to people at first, but I'm stubborn as hell. Dude, It's like seeing my own self and everytime she does something unexpected, like the point where she says out of career and love, it's always career, even if I love someone alot, I would still choose career, Even the when she cannot say no to senior, also her decision in episode 5, I could relate to it, no rather it brings old memories of my stupid decisions,I feel I'm seeing my own self in a third POV, it's like getting slapped on. The only difference is I think would be , I will never date people from my workplace.
I have watched alot of his Drama and movies as well. He is an amazing actor, but for some reason I want to see him in a happy Go lucky vibe character like to in psychologist drama, he was extremely cute in there. It's just a personal take but even though the Cool non chalant character suits him, He is extremely Amazing as a talkative Guys, that seems like his actual personality (even though in interviews he seems the opposite).
Even after they toned him down, he is still jerk because they have made her completely naive. Atleast in the book she felt more like an adult, the reason why she initially slept with him made sense but here, because of her innocence, it feels like she is being pulled to it, even though she is not.
(This definitely sounds weird now!!! I'm not a pervert)
